I read about Thorpe and Cureton online. you are all techno luddites
As a Luddite I watched Thorpe and Cureton at a training session, always a decent way to form an opinion of new signings Difficult to do now mind. I do recall watching Lloyd Opara doing a drill requiring the placing of balls into an empty net from fairly close range... he kept on missing

Didn't we sign Branco from Whitehawk?
Think we did. They seem to get some quite interesting players don't they?

It seems to be a popular place for old pros to play out their last games as well.

In an ironic sense, we'll probably sign him on loan now

Depends how loose you are with the term 'played a game for us'?
Jamie Slabber made it on to the pitch 9 times, wouldn't class it as playing...

Fair point.
Players who never stepped foot on the pitch?
Like Opara, Howe and Misun off the top of my head.

Pretty sure he started or came on against Lincoln away. I think he featured at least once after that too.

Completely forgot about Lloyd Opara.
He was the new Jon Stevenson.

You could probably do an XI of players who never played a full 90 minutes.... someone like John Sutton comes to mind and definitely a slot for Harry Agombar with Ossie as player manager, Ibon Arrieta fits the bill. Adrian Bakali. Keeper... look no further than Leigh Bedwell, who got his only fewer than 90 mins in when subbing for Wes in the infamous early PdC subbing for disrespecting his team mates or something or you could have Cameron Belford who saved a pen in his fewer than 90 mins, when subbing for his brother. Another could be those who only ever played a cup game of some sort.... Alistair Sperring in goal for starters, Mauro Almeida, Dean Casserley to name 2.

I was thinking Dean Hooper but he made 4 appearances. I always thought he was a speedy winger type but Wiki says he was a defender.
