Since the triple change (our goal aside) we have been pretty shite.
Big change in midfield without Kilkenny as well.

And Delaney at the back being rusty didnt help, but he does need game time, and better in a competition like that that doesnt really matter, but a win would have been nice, or at least avoid defeat.

Zero wins in 9 games, if I'm being honest I can't see when we'll get our first.

The removal of Butterworth saw our spark diminish

Didn’t really look like scoring and really shakey in defence. Long long season ahead.

Good teams play badly and win.

We seem to mastering playing fine and losing. Not a good habit.

Nope, but needs to start picking up some wins asap. Willing to give him the benefit of the doubt so far (Chesterfield, Notts County and Walsall look tough games on paper) but last season we only avoided the drop due to our first 9 games. With a slow start to the season, well, could spell danger.

I do remember Maurice Malpas getting sacked after an EFL Trophy game, which was odd. This team reminds me a bit of that one actually, not truly terrible but just no real threat.

Kilkenny, Butterworth, Barden, all looked OK for the new signings.
Delaney needed the minutes which is a plus.
Shame Mcgregor didn't play.
First 65-70 was even and we played alright, subs changed that.

The competition itself isn't important but shame to lose another game. My Exeter mates thought we looked alright but easy to get at the defence.....

I'd like to see a midfield three of Kilkenny, Clarke and Butterfield on Saturday which could have a decent balance to it, albeit I haven't been overly impressed with Clarke so far.
