More interested than usual in this game, considering we actually have a squad full of players for a change to see. It's not a high bar though.

Something like:

              Barden
      Hart Minturn Freckleton
Cox                              McGregor
      Ofoborh Cain Mitchell
          Tshimanga Drinan

Perhaps? That would still leave Brown, Uwakwe (he's still here right?), Kirkman and Redman Evans of the non-regulars. Maybe Butterworth starts, not sure.

Seems very unlikely to be a Reading style U18 team, maybe Botan Ameen makes the bench.

I was told by someone that Cox is injured and won’t be fit for several week so think Kirkman might play in his place, but that lineup would make a lot of sense

Tempted to go to this even though I don't like the format of the tournament but its only 25 miles from me and its cheap, so weather dependant I may well go.

Would be nice to see the new lads get game time.

Fully expect a very changed side like maybe.

              Barden
      Hart Minturn Freckleton(Sobowale)
McGregor                         Cox(if fit or Kirkman)
      Ofoborh Cain Mitchell
          Butterworth Drinan

Cox is at least a month away from being fit, not sure that its injury but more lack of training/preseason.

It wouold be unlike us to get someone in who is injured or unfit.

Would be good for Delaney and McGurk to get at least some game time under their belts in a nothing game.

As always, the only thing I care about it none of the first teamers getting injured.

So if the likes of Minturn, Mitchell, Kirkman, McGregor can start I'd be very happy.

My stab at a probable STFC XI for tonight below... if Delaney/McGurk are in fact ready to come back, that would handy.

GK - Barden

RCB - Minturn
CB - Hart
LCB - Delaney? / Freckleton

LWB - Kirkman
RWB - McGregor

CM - Ofoborh
CM - Cain
AM - Butterworth

FOR - Drinan
FOR - Tshimanga

Off the bench - Mitchell, Jaxon Brown, McGurk?

It's actually a relatively strong top end of the pitch, be nice to see them staking claims to start at Barrow. Here's hoping! I'll be streaming the game, then podcasting with Rich P on LSPod afterwards.

A comp ruined...but we all know that...shame, i might of popped up tonight. As it is, i keep my pledge of not attending any of these games in person.

I hope nobody gets injured...

I hope some margin players get a run out..

I hope we can get a win...i think after Saturday everyone needs a lift, if a little small. Scrappy OGs will do....

Can you get these games on the box? (of any kind).

I’d be tempted to put Ameen on the bench, to get him 15/20 mins of first team(ish) football.

As for Delaney & McGurk, I guess it depends how much time they want to give them, 30/45/60 mins.
