I'm not from Swindon, I've never lived in Swindon, the only connection I have is the fact that I was born in Wiltshire so followed the only football league club in Wiltshire.

If they get relegated, they are still my team, if they disappear completely and a new club is formed, it's not the team I follow, I may as well support Chippenham or Devizes. Not that I would do a 250 mile round trip to see either of those.

The problem is shown in the last few pages, the fanbase is divided.  In a thread that is supposed to be directed at Clem, fans having a pop at each other due to their point of view, no different to what is going on in the country.

It's no good pointing out the idiocy of the point of view of other fans, we should be doing that in the direction of the ownership, so there needs to be a common ground that everyone is united about, although it baffles me as to why that is not already plain to see given what we are seeing with our own eyes.

 Unfortunately, it's been an unhealthy mix at STFC since Clem stepped in.

Too many instances of shady characters, rumours and stories of certain motives that don't align with club traditions, not following protocols and cutting corners legally or at least from my perspective, it seems that way, gatekeeping and running the club from an ivory tower rather than investing in people that passionately care about our club and those that know when to be truthful about involvement and actions.

His reign is leaving a scar across our club and it's just getting deeper the longer he is here.

Clem appears to be too proud to admit he's gotten nearly everything wrong and too proud to admit his plan isn't working.

I wonder how he thinks he can get the money he wants to sell the club when he's turned us on our head and we are just a shambles. It's like trying to charge the price of a Ferrari for a push bike.

Clem won't budge. I think he likes it that way.

If what I have been told is correct, basically you had nothing to do with the finances with the purchase and you did not gift the Trust 50%.

Technically the club did gift it to the trust side of the JV didn't they? In that I think it went into the clubs coffers and straight out again.

But that was not charity. It was the NE estate conditions. It was just an accountancy quirk.

 The running of the club under the stewardship of Clem has been disgraceful and it doesn't look like ending anytime soon.
I live in hope though...

I'm so ready for the cycle to end. A new owner can take my money instantly, get back to watching the team I love and I would care less if the team struggled this season. We can rebuild, just waiting for the parasite to fuck off. Momentum was building last season and the summer made it collapse. The trust did their job and hopefully they aren't far off restarting pressure on the board regardless of results

I'd probably hold off and wait and see if the crooks were truly gone if we got new owners, but yeah other than that I'd be looking to get a season ticket once I was satisfied that was the case. I'll be all in on it even if we're non league or worse, conference south.

When it happens I'm all in.

We've seen the potential with the false dawn of Clem being the saviour. 10k gates even with a small portion of fans uncomfortable with the begging fans not to take refunds.

Well 2.30 Saturday is going to be bloody carnage if we lose at Crewe. Lose 1-0 and we played well will only paper over the cracks for a short time. 2 goal margin or more with no real clue how to play, then this site and all the other STFC socials are going to be a blood bath.
