Even this week he doubled down on Freckles again with the apparent booing when he was introduced on Saturday.

Was there? I didn't hear it in the DRS, is he going a bit Kennedy on this one?. Agree with your post,

I think he might mean away at Harrogate, (I could be wrong)
When he came on there was an audible sigh of horror, apprehension or concern. His passing was woeful and when he did pass to a town player the ole's were also heard.

He had a good game V Chesterfield best I've seen him play, a couple of wayward headers but won more than he didn't. If he can continue then he could have a few more appearances this season.

Yeah, i meant Harrogate, but he mentioned it in this weeks' press conference.  Apparently the media guy reported back that there were fans booing when he was introduced, and "if I would have erd im, i would have gone down there and thrown im out meself"

Stop looking for a fight and then maybe the positive support that you are looking for from the fans will progress much quicker.

As I have said many times on here, I had little opinion of Holloway before he came, he just struck me as being a bit of a media whore who loved the sound of his own voice.

He has come in and worked wonders almost since day 1 but boy he likes attention, but if we are giving him attention it is taking it away from the players relieving their pressures which has to be good.

I quite enjoy his ramblings and he can talk a good game and obviously motivate players well and his substitute decisions have been game changers compared to his forebears in the job.

For me he fucked up massively in the criticising the fan/s at Bradford, keep your thoughts to yourself when it comes to fans, every manager who has had a go at fans left soon afterwards (MacMahon, Cooper). But fair play to Ollie he has learnt his lesson and not done the same since so I can allow him that one error in judgement, but, never tell a very loyal fan to "not bother coming again then" as thats is not on.

He also mentioned about the orange hats but in fairness thats him defending his boss and is understandable, even thats gone quiet lately, I have been told some people have had a word with him about this and he has since chilled his beans a bit.

I would say 8/10 so far, could still do better in some areas but very happy overall, we look much harder to beat now than in many years.

In fairness to Ollie he has impressed me far more than Williams, Sheridan, Brown, Garner, Lyndsey, Flynn, Morris, Cooper and Kennedy with only Flitcroft (with a similar approach to style but jumped ship too early), Sturrock and Wellens who was a better manager have been equal or superior to me.

He has been a breath of fresh air at the club and galvanized the team and fans somewhat more than any manager in a long while.

Plus it's probably pissing off both city and rovers fans too. Which is a bonus  Grin

Enjoyed reading all your responses after I asked about your thoughts on Holloway.
Regarding the Bradford incident. I saw the footage and then Holloway's comments after. I'm guessing it was someone gobbing off as they were angry with the performance and then getting some back from the manager, or am I missing something?
I think we can move on from that as it's improved significantly since then. People get upset as football is a passionate game. I quite like it when managers, players give a bit back after getting pelters.

It was aledged someone shouted about the lack of shots on target not being good enough and he turned around and told them not to attend.

If accurate, not good and doesn't sit in the pelters category.

Eye witness...

The gist:

Fan: Weve paid to come all this way and thats not good enough!

Holloway: Dont come then!

The fella goes everywhere, home and away, has done for years.

IMO Holloway was wrong....

Totally agree with the glavanisation....the buzz has returned and i thought it was lost...

He has turned an oil tanker around. No mistake.

Lets see what budget he is given for next season....at least he will be able to pick his own players though rather than only have a say in the recruitment, then of course he will be here to arrange pre-season unlike previous

Generally agree with all that, will be interesting to see what happens to attendances if we continue to inch up the league, which Isn't going to help with the whole starving them out angle. I do slightly disagree of the highlighted bits, but that’s more of me being a pedantic twat!

Firstly he would have had no idea whether the fan way a very loyal one, or a prick like me who rarely attends unless they are playing in the same county and even then not every time. Apologies its a bug bear of mine similar to the fuss there always is when little Timmy gets his Christmas presents nicked by some wanker and it then turns out that little Timmy is unwell and this is banded about like some sort of aggravating factor, as if the scummy git who did the nicking will have had any idea about that. Sorry again!  Wink

On the second bit agree 100%, the fact that so many football fans seem entirely unable to comprehend that an employee of a company (who probably has a mortgage to may like the rest of us) is not prepared to come out and say publicly in the media that their boss is a bent arsehole baffles me - see also the apparent bemusement why Rob Angus was quiet when he was on the payroll!

Generally pretty pleased with Holloway, even the whimsical witterings seem to be just who he is rather than some sort of affectation, plus first manager who actually seems able to explain the game for Christ knows how long.

Pedant away sir Smiley twas merely my thoughts and I dont expect many to see it the same way.

As you state, its good to have an actual communicator in charge who is willing to engage with fans and the press, even if some of it is as mad as a box of badgers.

Nothing announced publicly, but Holloway has alluded to it in pressers and is clearly planning beyond the summer.

I'd put 50p on it being announced an hour before season ticket renewals are announced.

How many times will fans fall for this though? I didn’t renew for this season and wont the next until Clem and Co are gone.

Trouble is there are too many fans who don't give a shit about the off field stuff as long as we are doing OK on the pitch. They don't get that if/when it goes tits up off the field there won't be any football to watch
