Are any of them currently raping football clubs and already have a relationship of having mates on the take?
If so you might want to chance your arm.
Ha, a few have their company name plastered around the CG & on some kit … so maybe. I mean - I’m not saying you are wrong with brining up the potential link but I just think it could be a bit 2+2=5… Not all team mates are even mates at the time - let alone good friends 20+ years later. No doubt it happens but just as an example you google Gareth Barry & Michael Standing and there is a clear link there. Childhood friends, Brighton, Villa, player/agent, best men at each others wedding, money lending (!!) etc. You google Mark Kennedy & Dean Kiely and every result is basically RoI squad lists…I can’t even find a point in their careers where the clubs they were both are even geographically close enough that’s they’d share a social life…

I don't think that this will come as a massive surprise to anyone on this forum.
Fair. They probably wouldn’t be able to meet my wage demands…

I also think McGurk (if he does sign again) will be a handful, he scored 2 good goals and only played just over 400 mins in totaly so under 5 whole games, he will get stronger and fitter (and hopefully better) when given game time.
Yeah McGurk looks like he could be a massive handful but I feel you’d have to give him an attacking central free role to get the best out of him. Which you can kind of do with 352 wing backs (still hate it) but at the AMC in a 3231 I think McGurk would be at his most dangerous - based on what we have… Bycroft Dokes CB CB Ofoborh (hopefully) NOT KHAN Clarke I guess! AMR McGurk (hopefully) Kokolo Drinan Glatzel I think that formation would get the best out of McGurk, Drinan & Glatzel imo… Obviously a lot of holes in it currently. Wouldn’t mind seeing El Bouzedi back to slot on as the AMR. …but…for whatever reason 352 with wing backs still seems to be the popular choice these days…

I mean technically Andy Gurney might be happy to give Matt Hewlett’s roughly 20 year old son a job cough, cough…

Are Drinan and Glatzel competing for the one spot?

He did call him his best friend in a match day programme at one point. Remember reading it back after the fact.

Wonder how far back he went. Naturally I expect he spoke to Ken Beamish.

Comes across as an intelligent, thoughtful man. A combination of pragmatism and football ideology. I like him.
