I don't need to like the manager or style of play. As long as we can stay in the league until that motley crew fuck off,  that is the beginning and end of my aspirations...

Would Adams be our most successful (in terms of managerial career pre-swindon) appointment since....Wilson?

2 Promotions from this league plus another into the Scottish Prem (equal standard) - albeit getting on for 10+ years since his heyday and last few roles gone poorly.

Rumour has it, Clem and Mad Gav bonded at Clem's house over their mutual love of this book. They read half each and had a whale of a time.

There’ll be a communique after the Eric game stating that there is a committee looking at all options for the first team managers job. After that there will be a wall of silence. Mad Gav will be offered the job two weeks before the seasons starts.

I think the gist (not direct quotes) would be that Gunning isn't completely useless and that the manager isn't the problem at the moment. It's basically the Flynn discussion again.

I agree the manager isn't the main problem but Gunning is a fucking tool of the highest order

I enjoyed him saying he was listening to Tim Sherwood on a Podcast this week complaining about young people not wanting to work hard enough. It's absolutely microtargeted to wind me up, fair play to the guy.

The suggestion seemed to be that Gunning could work if the rest of the set up was better.

I think Gunning is very much part of the set up and the people who have screwed us up. Nothing he has done as manager in 17 games has given any indication he could be part of as successful set up.

It’s telling that we are all ambivalent about a managerial appointment, because whilst Gunning would be a catastrophic appointment, he’s of a far higher calibre than our owners.
