Believe a fair few of the players last night were actually saying they didn’t understand why the fans didn’t take to Lindsey.
They really liked him.

Could also be because he was soft as shit and they got away with all sorts that they probably shouldn’t

They also hated Sandro, and put a lot of the blame on him. He did a lot of meddling in team selection by the sound of it.
You won’t be surprised to hear he was ti blame for Reed being stuck on the bench for half the season, and then being sold.

Demonstrated by players liking posts that he has left!

Louis Reed who went to Mansfield and played a whopping 4 games - only one of which they’ve actually won.

And was replaced by Cain, was he not?  Reed may not have been in fine form, or even a world beater at this best, but fuck me he was better than Cain.  If it wasn't Cain, then it was Kadji, lets just leave it there.

Don’t know what Crawley’s allocation was, but they’ve sold out!

Cain has not set the worl alight but still been better than Reed was this season for us. On the flip side to that i am willing to hazard a guess that if Cain was in a midfield that consisted of Payne,Williams Gladwin and had the forward line we had last season he would look a lot better too.

Cain getting battered this season by fans for not being great when half his games he has been the most experienced player with less than 20 games under his belt i thought was really cuntish to be fair

He should have have been bought in to add to a midfield with experience but instead has been stitched up

in your opinion

Cain has had one decent game and nothing else to say 'pick me'.

I don't think the real Cain will be seen until next year.

2 games, Cain was my MotM last game but also Gillingham at home.

2 very good performances from just 8 starts, I think he has potential and will improved when played in his best position not shoehorned in. Admittedly he has had a couple of absolute stinkers too but hes only 21.

I didn't think you were a 'boring' appointment as such but your 'style' of football and outlook on the game is mind bogglingly, stupifyingly boring, soulless and lacking in energy, drive, urgency and passion.
This, absolutely this.

Also, genuinely surprised they will be bringing near 400 for a meanlingless game.

Anyone else think this is a thinly veiled dig at both Lindsey and Morris's time as manager from Mad Gave Gunning?

https://www.totalswindon.com/sport/gavin-gunning-wants-to-give-the-fans-some-excitement-in-the-final-game-of-the-season/

Quote
GAVIN GUNNING WANTS TO GIVE THE FANS SOME EXCITEMENT IN THE FINAL GAME OF THE SEASON
Gavin Gunning said he wants to bring the fun back to the County Ground with his time in interim charge. Total Sport’s Joe Acklam spoke to the interim head coach ahead of Town’s last game of the season.
Following the departure of Jody Morris as head coach on 1st May, Gunning is in interim charge of the first team for the second time this season as Scott Lindsey returns to the County Ground with Crawley Town.

Gunning said he was hoping to give the fans some excitement in the game and to end the season on a high.

He said: “I am hoping it is going to be a big crowd and be positive. With Scott [Lindsey] coming back, I am not sure what kind of reaction he will get, but he did a decent job here and I would hope that the fans would be respectful.

All we want to do is perform really well, play at a high tempo, and make it an enjoyable game.

We want to get people off their seats and make sure it is enjoyable and win the game, that is what football is about.

If you win games you are a good coach, and if you lose games then you are a bad coach, that is basically all that matters.

I have never heard of someone being called a good coach when they are losing games.

The last game of the season is always a good atmosphere; you want to end on a positive and bring that momentum through to the start of next year.

You don’t want to be ending on a damp squib because then you are trying to find your way through the off-season.

But if you have that win and the lads perform really well then they fill in the blanks for you on where you are going forward.

Gunning said that a lot more design went into Swindon scoring eight goals in two games under him during his brief spell in interim charge back in January than merely using a laissez-faire attitude.

He said: “That didn’t happen [simply taking the handbrake off], there was a lot more work that went into those games.

You can’t just beat Grimsby 5-0 without a lot of work going into it.

Obviously against Gillingham it went unbelievable to start, then it all went Pete Tong, we changed everything at half-time and then we should have won the game.

Should’ve, would’ve, could’ve is football, it all levels itself out at the end of the season.

I hope there will be a lot of goals [against Crawley], you would take the Grimsby score, wouldn’t you?”

Sounds like a middle finger to the dull slow boring football we have endured in most games this season under both previous incumbents.

Sounds like a way to win fans over so we can appoint him in 6 weeks too Smiley
