Lindsay giving an interesting defence of not going two up front, talking about the lack of space against Gillingham. Not sure I fully agree, but notably the first time I remember him really talking about tactical set-up to the local press. Would like to hear more of it.
Also mentioned that the squad might suit a 4-4-2 diamond, for those who really want two up!

Surprised Darcy kept his place. Think the boy has talent and will do alright in the long run but felt the last game passed him by
darcy has a great touch but on Tuesday his lightweight was shown up and he was barged off the ball a lot by a strong Sutton midfield. If he could bulk up he would be a better player, he has the skill just not the physicality.

I can see us having the players for a diamond but then the complete and utter lack of width bothers me personally.

Especially when our best attacks come down both flanks.

I’m no expert here however if a player isn’t “match fit” then surely the only way to achieve this is by playing said player. Really don’t understand the team picked today.

That’s at least the second interview from SL where he has cited our “entries into the box”. An unusual stat to hang your hat on as it includes ‘passes’ that do not find a teammate, i.e. lumping it in the mixer.

Well, there’s 2 choices. Start and take off in the 2nd half or bench and come on in the 2nd half. That’s the standard way.

Dang. Phil Smith on co comms today. Fortunately he's a better option than Hockaday, but that is no ringing endorsement

Obsessed with stats. Hope he doesn't totally rely on em, 'cause as you say, they can be misleading

I don't think Phil is cut out for punditry. I'm sure his knowledge is good but Christ,he does find it difficult to put it across
