I think Paolo was probably the highest ever on the control freak end of the manager spectrum. Wonder how he and McKirdy would have got on.

They wouldn't! simple!

Paolo would have hoofed him out of the door early on I am sure! much like he did with that Orient striker Tehouie and Leon Clarke, not known for his patience was Paolo!

You say that….however.

The most like McKirdy from a personality point of view would be one Simon Ferry - who PDC originally didn’t have much faith in but Ferry won  him over and was a regular player under PDC (a fucking good one too)

Of course whilst both big personalities Ferry & McKirdy aren’t exactly the same.

That is true, Ferry was a bit of a wildcard.

"Lavinier has done a little bit of training today, but Tuesday will be too soon for him." (Monday 19th)

Amazed he's trained a bit  as he looked proper stuffed on Tuesday

Pre game on Saturday (the Thurs/Friday exclusive pre match with the BBC I think) Lindsey said he hoped Lavinier would be fit enough to have played a part at Doncaster.

It was obvious that was a bit premature but it proves it wasn't too bad an injury, it looked way worse the way he was carried down the tunnel.
