Appointed officially yesterday. Mark Hughes to stay at Carlisle despite them dropping into National League.
I don't rate him as a manager TBH, he will have some heavy financial backing up there but not sure hes the right man to bring them back into the league though. Carlisle fans seem pretty much divided on too.

Looking at his win rate its 37.18 (for comparison Holloway is 36.06), but he also looks to be rather yesterdays man as his win rate is being bolstered by his early career so who knows. Carlisle fans (much like the population of Carlisle generally) are pretty much divided on everything, had a friend who took job up there years back, she lasted about 6 months and concluded that it was really depressing as it seemed to be full of Geordies who wanted to go back to Newcastle and miserable Scottish people who wished they were in Scotland!

The difference though is Holloways 36% is over 37 games whereas Hughes win rate was over 18 games.

Wow, really?! Great player, awful manager, no track record down there.

It's over whole management career not just last season.

Sorry my bad, yes Hughes 18 games resulted in a win rate of just 27%.

Notts County sack head coach Maynard.
This was rumoured at the weekend, turns out to be correct. According to the Notts County forum, County manager Maynard will be leaving after the game if County don't get to the final.

That feels a little harsh. They sold one of their better players in January too.

Liam Manning jumping ship from Bristol City to Norwich.
That's a shame.

David Hughes (who?) appointed manager at Newport County. Manchester United youth coach David Hughes joined United in August 2022 from Cardiff City, where he served as head of Academy. At Old Trafford, Hughes was the under-21s coach and assistant manager.

Manning is a native of Norwich & played for their youths.
An understandable move on his part Norwich are a good bet to resume yo yoing if they sort themselves out.
