Nelson Jardim leaves Newport.
That was always one of the wierdest appointments in football.

Said he’s heading back to his native Portugal.

Seems to have been a few sackings in the last week with teams desperate for success and have failed, I have a feeling there may be quite a few jobs available once the season is over, I suspect a few more clubs will roll the dice desperate for someone to take them up

At the moment Darrell Clarke is the early favourite followed by Michael Duff, Jon Brady, Ian Evatt, Luke Williams then Holloway.

Apparently Daryl Clarke and Luke Williams are early  favourites - whoever it is will need to work with a director of football

I don't think so....

Have you actually watched any of his interviews??... he is so on board with Swindon... you can't fake that.... I really, genuinely don't see that happening...

IF... it was to happen, it would make him  the biggest phoney ever and me the biggest eejit... it's not happening mate...

I totally agree it’s not happening and he’s stated in one of his recent interviews that he’s had to change his football allegiances and can’t stop saying how happy he is here and what a privilege it is managing this football club

I don't think he'll go to Rovers.

I do worry a bit about his and his family's health issues. Certainly hope there's a plan in place if he needs time off, Kennedy taking last summer off (understandably) would not have helped him at all.

His name hasn’t been mentioned once on the Gas forum - or at least on their New Manager thread

They won't come in for him, they could have made a move when they needed a manager and he was out of work after the Grimsby disaster but didn't

Watford sack their manager, this time Tom Cleverley after a relatively long tenure at the club: https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/articles/c983w3d6w7jo
