What sort of crowds would they expect to get 100 - 200 maybe or am I doing them a disservice.
Probably ball park that, but supporters paying to specifically watch the women’s team is likely double figures only.

Was wondering if those low numbers cover the cost of opening a stand etc.

Doubt it. Would be interested to know if there is any other EFL team that has the female team using the same ground full time.

Assume it saves them from paying for them to use another ground elsewhere, would they have to employ stewards ? I assume 1 or 2 and assume no catering facilities would be open, so I assume the women playing at the CG will be minimal cost, so they would save money, despite them playing in a big empty stadium.

Not that minimal if we have to change the pitch to accommodate. But then, we may have done so anyway.

Imagine the CG floodlights alone cost a fortune to run which will be needed in Winter, and if there is a crowd of any size facilities will be needed so I can’t see it saving money compared to say using foundation park, just opening the CG for a match probably costs a reasonable sum. I think it’s clear that someone with influence behind the scenes has been pushing the women’s team, it seems to be getting disproportionate treatment compared to the level they play at and the level of interest.

Did we go LED when they were replaced? If so its surprisingly cheap.

I think I worked it out < £10 an hour. This kind of corroborates that costing: https://commerciallightingcompany.co.uk/sports-lighting/durham/crookCan't find anything to say they are LED though. edit: Found conflicting pricing - another source says they are only half the cost. As you were

My understanding is that if the Womens team get promoted, there is much more of an income from the league etc and the club think a womens team at that level would generate cash. So Clem is very keen.

I suspect there is also considerably more potential to get people more interested/turning up if they are playing in the town centre rather than on a random playing field miles away.

Women's team played quite a few games at the CG back end of last season - it's surprisingly hard to find any attendance figures anywhere but I'm fairly sure that a) it's in the mid-hundreds and they only open the Arkells and b) that a previous Advisory Board has confirmed they don't break even.
Doesn't mean they won't in future though, women's attendances vary wildly - Arsenal averaged 28,000 last season but they're a huge outlier. Three WSL sides averaged between 1-2k.
Probably getting well beyond my knowledge here, but I'd imagine women's games have less of an effect on the pitch than men's games as the average player will be lighter and the pace averaging lower.
I do think there's a social and community benefit beyond raw commercial implications to bringing the women's team in - same with disability and community teams etc.
Lots of sticks to beat the ownership with, but they've done good things on the women's side. The numbers involved are rounding errors compared to the men's team.
