As you've not seen any of them kick a ball in a Swindon shirt this is a pretty meaningless statement.
True, but based on stats (and fan/match reports) it's not totally groundless that we haven't replaced his ability to win the ball.

But  you are right, we will have to see how the new lot combine. Could end up with something better, absolutely.

I’ve heard footballers can play in other football shirts?

Is this not true?

Maybe in the past you'd be correct. But in the current age of social media and easy access to data / statistics, it's very easy to identify roughly what we are signing. It's not like the 90's or whatever where the only time you see a player play is when they rock up at your ground. Oldaker has played the best part of 100 games for Chesterfield. If he was in the mould of a Grant / Ofoborh type we'd certainly know about it.

Redman Evans joins Alvechurch on loan for a curiously specific four months. Not the highest level, but Wiki reckons their manager is Tim Flowers who might not be a bad role model.

Expect that means the Ward announcement is imminent.

I understand that Evans doesnt turn 21 until October so the first 3 months of that loan is a development loan so doesnt count towards their long-term loan limit, under the Vanarama loan rules those count as youth/training loans. But the extra 1 month loan on top of that 3 months is a bit odd as that extra month will become a single month short term loan.

It is indeed, very good keeper back 20 to 30 years ago, he showed quality in his short loan to us too.

I dont think you will find that was Tim Flowers mate.

Flowers was a very very good goalkeeper with great hands. You don't get 11 England caps without having some talent TBH.

I can recall Tim Flowers reacting with good humour to a good natured "Timmy Flowers, you're a wanker" chant on one of his returns to the CG.
Both in the LC, for Southampton & Blackburn, might have been the latter.
