But when asked yesterday, Holloway said it wasnt his department re Freckleton? Neither club have confirmed him going back have they? Which makes it odd, surely he would be gone the first day he is able to

U dont doubt that it will happen, it just seems odd to me

It was odd him saying that in general after he'd confirmed he'd be going back and was giving it the big one he was in charge of the window.

I wonder if there's some sort of financial element to negotiate with Sheffield Utd holding things up, which Holloway isn't that bothered about.

Pure speculation but can't see what else it would be.

Penalty clause for terminating early i should think, probably trying to get out of paying it

I think Holloway is a lot like Wellens, you cannot take whatever he says as the gospel truth, both are master manipulators of being somewhat frugal with the truth!

They both say what suits them at the point they are interviewed.

I think the difference was Wellens said what the fans wanted to hear, I’m not sure that’s the case with Holloway. Both are somewhat economical with the truth at times, though

Looks quality.

Could be a good addition to our squad.

Sign him up.

Thanks Yeovil. We will take back a fully fit Sean McGurk at the end of Jan.

We have been absolutely useless with this guy though. Not too late to resolve it.

Quality goal, but is he really in our plans.

Hope so because he's not had the chance to succeed or fail at this level.

There's a lot McGurk doesn't do off the ball, but he's capable of moments of magic with it. In my view, he's a better version of Danny Butterworth. Multiple managers have now disagreed.

Fair enough. There's plenty of our players who do nothing ON the ball as well. So I'd like to think we can strike a balance somewhere.

Any idea what position he actually plays for Yeovil? and what his role is? is he a winger or a #10?
