I thought it looked nice outside this morning, so I left it out.

Dworzak’s loan move at Supermarine extended until the end of the season - his contract is up at the end of the season so I imagine that’s the last we see of him in a STFC shirt unless something major happens.

Holloway:

"If anybody thinks I'm going to sell Harry Smith now, you're absolutely, completely and utterly off your trolley.

"Go and take yourself a calm-down pill and go and lie down in a dark room. You absolute chicken nugget with double barbecue sauce."

Cox injury not as bad as stated the other day. Nice for the club to communicate for once even if it’s just about an injury.

Cox not out for 6-8 weeks after all. May change our window targets again!

https://www.swindontownfc.co.uk/news/2025/january/12/injury-update-on-george-cox/

Quote
As revealed yesterday by Ian Holloway, the club has received good news regarding the injury of Defender George Cox.

Ahead of our game against Crewe, Swindon Town Manager, Ian Holloway revealed in his pre-match press conference, that George Cox was involved in a collision during the Notts County fixture resulting in being withdrawn at half-time.

Following routine scans and X-rays, it was confirmed that the defender had fractured his Medial Cuneiform with an expected return date of 6-8 weeks.

Following on from the news, during his recovery and rehabilitation, the club's doctors and medical staff consulted further fracture specialists, who have since confirmed that the issue is not as serious as was first diagnosed, and will return to action a lot sooner than the original disclosed timeframe.

Cox was transferred to a better hospital where his foot was upgraded to not broken.

Anybody know the deadline for a loan recall?  I remember hearing January 14th, but I can't find a rule that states that.

My reading:

Not sure if it's a rule, it's a contractual convention. Both parties must agree and write it into the loan contract.

Recalls can technically be any time 1-31 January (EFL rules 56.11, 56.12, 56.13).

But I guess most clubs use similar dates, and like you I thought it was first 2 weeks. Doyle was recalled on 8th January and Walsall have just lost their hot shot too.

But it may be certain players don't have a recall clause..

Technically all loans can be terminate/recalled in the window from Jan 1st to Jan 31st.

But some loan clauses have a specific window that the loan can only be terminated in, but it has to be agreed by both parties prior to the loan.

For example Tshimangas loan have have a recall window of between 2nd Jan and 18th Jan so cannot be terminated after that date even if either club want that.

Surprised we've not heard anything about Freckleton going back. Possibly no clause or whoever makes decisions here has decided to keep him?

Gotta think that is a much better use of a loan.
