Perfection is not attainable

Tom Clayton is the only one that we released that I had hoped we would keep.

Yes hes been injured a fair bit but when he has played he looked classy, didnt really settle in Swindon though from what I hear and wanted to leave back in January but was still carrying the injury.

From the station at Colchester
To the cells of Warrington
From the services at Leicester
To the slums of Northampton

We travel over England
And one day Europe too

Cos we all follow the Swindon
We're the famous Town End crew.

Nope. Though they have pretty much been wearing their numbers in preseason

Added squad numbers to the first post.

Can we talk about arm folding technique? Some absolute shockers in there, Sonny Hart looks like he's stood in a freezer. Jaxon Brown and Dylan Mitchell going thumbs out. Minturn has good technique, as do most of the defenders.

Nothing like covering up the main sponsor!

Sonny Hart looks like Renton in the Trainspotting posters.

Perhaps his Dad is supplying his packed lunch for training and putting extra performance enhancing "product" in there for him.

12 pro players for those back 5 outfield positions, 13 if you include Jake Cain who came on at LWB in the Wycombe game.

If we had anything like that depth up front I'd be a bit more comfortable.

Ollie Clarke confirmed as 24/25 Captain. Better than Gunning’s token shite last season giving it to the GK with under 20 pro appearances.

Yeah that decision was a load of bollocks. Not sure how he thought it would be a good idea

The following comes from Adam Norman in an article in The Deck, regarding Tariq Uwakwe being made available on a free transfer from STFC
******
The 24-year-old was a regular feature as Chelsea’s youth side won back-to-back league and cup doubles in 2017 and 2018 playing as a deep-lying midfielder and in a wide right position across both campaigns. His first taste of regular football at senior level came at Accrington Stanley in League One before joining Crewe Alexandra in January 2022.

The former England under-20 international had initially played as a left-back for Crewe and became a regular in League Two in 2022/23, making 36 appearances in the fourth tier, scoring once and providing five assists. His versatility was on show, as he impressed in a central midfield role but also played on the right, left and in a deeper midfield role that season.

He topped the club’s charts for key passes per game and successful crosses, highlighting his creativity from a central or wide role.

As we're currently struggling for creativity from the midfield, it does make you wonder if Tariq has been looked at for this role ?  Hmmm
