What does bender mean in Yankee language?
It was in reference to him being an airbender I think (There's a kids tv show called The Last Airbender) because of a celebration he did... But they just referred to him as a bender and I am very immature so found it very funny!

TBH back in the 70s and early 80s everyone called a curling shot a "bender" even though it has always had a double meaning, When Swansea came to the CG in 1980 they had a huge banner which said "Alan Curtis bends more balls than Jeremy Thorpe" in reference to the gay allegations about ex MP Jeremy Thorpe at the time but also to Curtis's ability to curl a football.

At the time the game took place they were still allegations

it makes me laugh when Americans poke fun at British-English, and then have names like ‘creg’ or ‘gram’ (not aimed at godders, unless his real name is Craig or graham)
Worst confusion I ever had was asking where I could buy a torch whilst at the Grand Canyon, led to some alarmed faces from the woman behind the till

The Arizona Cardinals recently tweeted about their QB being a bender. Made me laugh a lot.
K1 - Airbender and MVP.

"Wooo I love Pattys Day, I'm Irish. My name is Gram Creg", said Mr Graham Craig, American with fully Scottish name and ancestry.

TBC on the latter although I love watching him run around with his tiny body and massive head!

Just had a look in on the Plymouth forum. There’s a clamour for our No. 5. I automatically thought that was Critchlow - but it’s Baudry! They thought he was brilliant and would make a great LB!

They must be mistaken. Baudry is predominantly right footed. Whereas Circh is only left footed.

I'm sure we could come to some sort of agreement.
