I think people are taking the point around payback too literal, this doesn't have to payback Clem as such, due to increased revenue will increase the value of the club. The only way Clem will make any money out of the club is to improve facilitiles and/or get the club promoted - as they both increase the value of the club.
How does adding debt increase the value of the club? Agree with a lot of the rest, but I can't see a trust/part owners and it's members voting down pretty much the only real development in the ground in decades at the very first hurdle, making the club more attractive to any buyers. Possibly an obstructive trust and fan base may put buyers off.
Rock and a hard place.
Perhaps - but for someone looking to buy & assuming the asking price is going to be whatever the clubs debt to Clem is - 12m is a lot more attractive than 15m or 27m

I read a comment from one of the Clemente Ultras on Facebook that he didn't care about the court case as it was irrelevant as it is was in Australia, also that the majority of people back Clemente.
I can only think as this point that some of these people are just parody accounts

Hahaha that guy. He put a post up once on that group saying he was going to infrom the club about name calling etc and get people banned. The huge irony being he is always insulting to other posters, and then sent me a DM telling me to ‘go fuck yourself’ when i tried to have a reasonable debate with him and went at him with factual evidence!

Does Duke actually know anything - I've seen him hint a few times about interest in the club, but there is never any speculation elsewhere

I think with how well they have refurbished the Legends Lounge, fixed the shop sign, created the enviable Statue Park, and all the general improvements made such as working taps, the upkeep of Stratton Bank to keep it open and usable, a full club shop and vending outlets. You'd have to one bovril short of a picnic to say no.

Would you want to do business with someone who has admitted to not being able to read a balance sheet? I guess he could allocate the task to someone more suited, but who out of the football club would you look to utilise in any potential discussions?

You don't really need to be able to read a balance sheet, thought its quite something for a business owner.
As long as you have good people around you to explain it. Oh..

Voting opens at 5pm Trust members.
Despite my deep concerns for the contents of Dick Mattick's garage, I think it's going to be a no. As others have said I've no huge issue with the plans, but I'm just not comfortable with Morfuni and co being in charge, given their track record, as well as unethical business practices.
Its a trust thing, basically.
