Is the Joint Venture Group not responsible for fifty per cent of the cost? If not, should it have a say? The Nigel Eady Trust put up the Trust’s share of the money. Should they not have some say in what happens?

The Nigel Eady Trust also put up the *club's* share of the money.

Dick is entitled to his opinion, but there are a few errors of fact in there that need correcting. Then up to Dick if his opinion changes (perhaps not).

But the ownership group of the ground (the Joint Venture) obviously needs to have a sign off on whether or not redevelopment is acceptable, regardless of who is paying for the redevelopment, otherwise a random person could fund and build a giant statue of Clem Morfuni fucking a wombat as long as they funded it themselves. And clearly nobody wants that.

Blimey. As a historian you’d expect him to be capable of understanding the finer details of the JV agreement… all of which are publicly available.

Dick clearly has trust in Clem to get it right...and he has been promised more space for his museum shame the rest of us don't have that belief.

Clem & Hall will probably wheel out a few more people before the vote to back their plans hoping it may sway a few fans to vote their way

All these same people that come out in public support are the same ones being promised space/funds/opportunity etc for their own personal projects.

Didn't think Mr Mattick would make it so completely blatant, no one should take this letter seriously as soon as they get to the 'my museum will be bigger' line.

One look at the names of trustees of said museum is also enough to not take it seriously.

Lets face it, why does the museum need to be bigger anyway? With what this club has achieved you could fit all the memorabilia in my airing cupboard!

TBF theres lots of stuff not on show in the museum as Dick has it in his garage at home, easily enough to fill a large room or even 2, our trophy cabinet is already about 20 feet long and 6 foot high and it doesnt have even a quarter of the stuff in it that Dick wants in it.

Dick is a good bloke but he is toeing the company line, which I get fully with the promises made, he doesnt want to upset too many people who run the club.

Aside from the fact the JV bit is clearly not well understood - Trust, as much as there is stuff available, maybe a consistent need to remind people exists - it does ask a question I think is rather pointless.  I very much doubt Clem would want any Trust funding for the project.  Exit plans, whether they are just getting proposals or going the whole hog, require minimal external meddling.  The whole period where he kept slipping his tongue and saying the club gave the Trust half of the ground shows where his head is at.  It's his.

The sort of thing that could have been included in the proposal, like my ask about the existing facilities in the Arkells and what happens to them both structurally and operationally upon the development being completed.  Some sort of vision of how this changes the club would be useful, if you really want fans to vote in favour, no?

That isn't strictly true! there is a whole area upstairs in the Arkells hospitality that has many historical items.
