What is happening there seems to reinforce that its having a fecking clue is possibly more important than having cash alone...
Some owners have cash, some have a clue, ours have neither.

If it was just us you would probably just nod, wink & say “admin expenses”. But the fact that it applies to pretty much everyone else too suggests that is just the cost of running a football club. I guess the £2.5m is first team playing budget, so you need to add coaching, admin/office staff, ticket office costs, energy & water (I’m assuming floodlights aren’t cheap to run), policing & stewarding. As I say if it was just us you would be sceptical, but it clearly isn’t.
I still think they are making their money in other ways, probably ones that don’t go through the books in a normal way
The cost of running a football club I don’t doubt - it’s how they plug the gaps & who they owe money to that gets me. I assume it’s all director loans because otherwise there would be winding up petitions all over the place if they owed external customers massive amounts of money. Then the question is how do the owners afford to keep plugging those loses? I don’t know enough about other clubs owners but they can’t all be ‘can afford to just throw 5m-10m into a 4th division football club every year’ rich can they? The more I see things like these finances the more I’m convinced all the teams in bottom 2 divisions are just run by owners taking money out of the club so it runs at a loss to put said taken money back in as a loan, effectively changing club money to personal money (owed) in the hope mr. super rich oil man from the Middle East buys the club & clears all outstanding debt. Even if you got 75% of the money owed you’d be massively quids in. Even a % up front & the rest over time + interest would see you gain. Championship owners probably doing the same but also know one good season & a promotion to the Premier League will give them a massive return.

Genuine question, and I understand that the Trust want to keep lines of communication with the club open, but if the club continue to answer questions in the way they are currently (with scant regard to the individuals asking them) is there any point in having the AB anymore?
