I get that, as I said any line of communication is a good thing as long as it is respected, however on the basis the club told you that they would discuss ST pricing at the AB (and then didn’t) is there a point at which the Trust may just say this is not working and either you treat it seriously or we abandon the concept & try something else?
This is me off the cuff...but I wouldn't say anything is off the table. I don't think we'd publish our view on where that line is though, and it might be something we consult our membership over.
As for Q&A, maybe video the session so they don’t as easily have the option to go away & construct an answer that doesn’t really answer the question or is so ambiguous as to have no value. The problem there would be they would pretty much always use the “leave it with us & we will get back to you line” which gives them the same option to not really answer.
Maybe wire them up to a lie detector

There's two things there for me - the discussion and the club's response. How you marry the two in a currently the un-minuted, club official response environment is the tricky part. For the minutes to be worthwhile you'd need blow by blow of he said she said, and I don't think that is of any benefit (especially not for the poor soul keeping score).
Are the questions given to stfc to answer or are they asked of them in the meeting and then they respond in writing for the minutes as well, do they see any in advance ?
They are shared with the club beforehand, read and discussed in the meeting and the club provide a written response.
Who complies the mins, do they have someone in the meeting who's job it is to do the mins or do they just get everyone to produce their part in writing so it can be a copy and paste ?
The club compiles the mins, whilst the different areas provide mins for their update.
The AB should be a time to prod and probe the club, to spend 30-45 minutes working through the discussion to dig deeper or work on possible solutions.
I'd be inclined to agree. Setting aside the volume of questions and how we reached 51 for this month's AB, being able to review beforehand an initial response from the club and have time to challenge said response in the meeting would be a far more productive use of time.
