It's a valid question - but the AB is greater than just the q&a.
In relation to the style of answers given...well..there were quite a few questions re-asked this month due to the the response they got last month

We have no plans to
Thanks. Is there anything stopping the Trust from releasing your own version of the minutes, should you want to do so?

I don't think it would be appropriate to precede or preempt any minutes with our own version of events. That said if something discussed was so egregious that we couldn't wait for the minutes to be produced we would have to have a board discussion about how that was handled (we haven't reached that point yet).
We retain the right to comment if the minutes do not represent the discussion or if push back is omitted

If we're talking answers to questions - they live in a betwixt two worlds at the moment where they're not in the core minutes so don't portray the discussion and they are questions asked of the club so it's entirely fair that they get to produce a formal response.
I'm not sure what the answer to that is at the moment, perhaps the TEF brain trust can help?

I get that, as I said any line of communication is a good thing as long as it is respected, however on the basis the club told you that they would discuss ST pricing at the AB (and then didn’t) is there a point at which the Trust may just say this is not working and either you treat it seriously or we abandon the concept & try something else?

As for Q&A, maybe video the session so they don’t as easily have the option to go away & construct an answer that doesn’t really answer the question or is so ambiguous as to have no value. The problem there would be they would pretty much always use the “leave it with us & we will get back to you line” which gives them the same option to not really answer.

Maybe wire them up to a lie detector Cheesy

Are the questions given to stfc to answer or are they asked of them in the meeting and then they respond in writing for the minutes as well, do they see any in advance ?

From the mins produced from the AB it seems everyone says their little bit and then everyone goes on their merry way happy they have had their turn, if stfc, if Clem & Hall etc are held to account over things etc and questions asked, then this needs to be reflected in the mins - yes, there will be things that may be confidential - but with so many attending surely this sort of thing is not discussed.

Who complies the mins, do they have someone in the meeting who's job it is to do the mins or do they just get everyone to produce their part in writing so it can be a copy and paste ?

I've said before that the questions should instead frame the Trust's stance going into the meeting and further research should be done ahead to create a framework for discussion.  The AB should be a time to prod and probe the club, to spend 30-45 minutes working through the discussion to dig deeper or work on possible solutions.  I think it's not even worth doing that anymore to be honest though.  It's a PR thing now, not even that good at that.

This is me off the cuff...but I wouldn't say anything is off the table. I don't think we'd publish our view on where that line is though, and it might be something we consult our membership over.

As for Q&A, maybe video the session so they don’t as easily have the option to go away & construct an answer that doesn’t really answer the question or is so ambiguous as to have no value. There's two things there for me - the discussion and the club's response. How you marry the two in a currently the un-minuted, club official response environment is the tricky part. For the minutes to be worthwhile you'd need blow by blow of he said she said, and I don't think that is of any benefit (especially not for the poor soul keeping score).

Are the questions given to stfc to answer or are they asked of them in the meeting and then they respond in writing for the minutes as well, do they see any in advance ?
They are shared with the club beforehand, read and discussed in the meeting and the club provide a written response.

Who complies the mins, do they have someone in the meeting who's job it is to do the mins or do they just get everyone to produce their part in writing so it can be a copy and paste ?
The club compiles the mins, whilst the different areas provide mins for their update.

The AB should be a time to prod and probe the club, to spend 30-45 minutes working through the discussion to dig deeper or work on possible solutions.
I'd be inclined to agree. Setting aside the volume of questions and how we reached 51 for this month's AB, being able to review beforehand an initial response from the club and have time to challenge said response in the meeting would be a far more productive use of time.

Nothing much to get cross about in there, but equally not much to be excited about. 1st May fans forum is new information I think?

It's a bit better than last year's copy and paste job. But actions rather than words, as ever.

I never thought I'd see the day they would release a coherent letter.

So at least they've got style, if not substance.
