Am I losing my marbles or did we not redo the pitch recently?

We redid the drainage, not the stitching

3 years seems a bit excessive off the back a decent 3 month return.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m glad Holloway is staying & I get he wants some assurances / stability but did we not learn anything from the Flynn debacle of offering him 3 years in November ‘23 only to sacked him 2 months later. A contract that in theory still has another 16 months left to run.

No, of course we didn’t.

If the trust called for a boycott, would you both still renew out of interest?
Yes I think I would

If the trust called for a boycott then I'd probably take their lead.

Wouldn't be an easy decision to make but as it stands now 99% certain to renew.

Can’t tell if Sam Morshead’s/The moonrakers quotes about “pre emption” and “waiting for permission” on X are insinuating something going on or just well placed quips

Yeah i cant quite work out what Sam means by that comment. Waiting for permission from the match day guests and wives maybe?

It’ll be the same MO as the Legends Lounge ‘refurb’. A way of siphoning off more cash into slimy pockets.

Changing the subject, but Bournemouth’s new training centre looks extremely impressive. Oh to have money!

That is a long deal - 3 year's - I'd have given a 1 year rolling deal - or 2 year deal at most - you suspect it was Holloway who asked for 3 years and they couldn't say no with our history of appointing shite managers - decided to take the risk as he has managed to get something out the players other managers have struggled to do.

As for ST prices, I understand things are rising for everyone but football is a bit unique in the fact that it is a big up front cost and some fans decide if they can actually afford it, a £30 rise is a lot, and I think there was discussions previously about breaking that £400 barrier on the back of a poor season - but I'm not sure Clem is that bothered now.

Making the Townend £50 cheaper may have been a good incentive.

If he were to serve that whole time (and you'd have to imagine it would be unlikely) he'd be our longest serving manager since Andy King (who did 3yrs 9months in his second spell).

If he somehow went past that, we haven't had the same manager for four full calendar years since Danny Williams, who did it twice!

Lou Macari was here for 5 full years in the 80's so after Danny Williams

That must have either been a misunderstanding, or an admin error
