Just withhold season ticket money and drive them out. They will just spin another tale, and then end of season sell our best players. Rinse and repeat.

I'd put plenty of money now on Holloway's new contract being announced within days of ST renewals and him being the face of sales.

It'll be a real test of fan will and I'm not confident that people will hold the line.

Then they will lose credibility as well

When talking about ownership I agree, but the time they get to talk to the players & manager are still useful, knowing the ownership team they are so immature & spiteful they would probably deny access to them.

The local journos need to start going in hard on the club now, show everyone exactly how incompetent and untrustworthy this lot are. What’s the point in maintaining a civil relationship with the club and having access if everything they tell you is a lie.

It's a tricky one. If Sam or joe (or even another Advert reporter) go in hard, they'll lose their access within the club and in Joe's case, could even lose their job.

My hopes of journos going in on the club evaporated after Sam pulled the Sandro interview. That to me showed he didn’t want to upset the club too much.

Which is a shame, as that is exactly what’s needed.

Indeed, I was just thinking what hot air they will come out with at renewal time.

You don't spend days arranging, researching, interviewing, writing... and then publish the thing... because you don't want to upset someone. As frustrating as it is, and as poorly as it reflects on me, I won't discuss what happened there - but I will say the club played no part in the article being removed from the website.

I will be renewing regardless.   I like watching football and it's a reason to regularly meet up and have beers with friends and family.

Pretty much every owner we have had has been a cunt - even Andrew Black left us spread us wide open and employed the cunt in chief (SWP) to sell to a bunch of crooks, who then employed a convicted fraudster as a CEO FFS.  Black also put a highly restrictive £3m debenture on the club and then sold that the same motley crew.

Clem is just an incompetent one who refuses to listen, adapt or take responsibility for his mistakes.

Yes it's a shit show but why should allow any cunt to stop me going to watch my club play football.

What is "go in hard", out of interest? In the past two months I've called out just about every issue going in various articles; I've called for the owner to sell if he can't stop the rot; I've spent hours - on the phone and in person, on and off the record - pushing points to senior management, outlining grievances, trying to get the point of protestors across.

I've also tried to provide context, and to counter instances where the substance of grievances is misdirected, because it's fundamentally counter-productive for everything to be treated like a fuckup or a conspiracy.

For what it's worth, I don't require access. I am grateful that Callum and Henry before him have included me in day-to-day media stuff, but Moonraker is built to operate independently. But that independence needs to be used responsibly. That's what I'm trying to do.

The recent upturn in form means they dont have to wheel out a former fan favourite signing at least.

It’s things like the Morfuni and Skelton court case, we know it’s happening but there’s been no mention of it in the press since March. This could have serious ramifications on the club and it shows what a dodgy businessman Morfuni is, more people need their eyes opening to the fact this isn’t just naivety it’s just pure contempt from the ownership. Why isn’t he getting more of grilling about his general business dealings etc.

We’ve still never heard a peep from Kiely, Zav Austin still introducing himself as a director. There’s so much to after, I get legally journalists need to tread carefully but a lot is already in the public domain.

Morfunis issues outside the club should absolutely being covered in the press like the adver.

There are still people completely clueless about Clem because all they do is buy the adver and never venture on the internet. They live and die by what they read there.

Dan Wood at the Adver is covering the court case, though - yes? And his previous analysis of what could happen remains relevant now - little, if anything, has changed. There is a limited amount you can report on outside of court dates, for various reasons. The next one is due in the next month, I think. I'm sure Dan will be on top of it.

The Adver were also all over late payment to the emergency services.

In terms of not hearing a peep out of people. It can take months and months to get some stories into the public arena. And those stories can collapse if you get just one move wrong. There is so much in reporting/journalism that goes unseen. So many hours that go unnoticed. And often those unseen, unnoticed hours also go to waste. Sometimes, though, they make a major impact.

And yes, there is definitely a higher bar the media work to in terms of verification, sourcework, corroboration etc (which social media is rendering very old-fashioned, but imo remains v important). Our libel laws in the UK are stricter than most, and that is a difficult obstacle to get around for publishers.
