I got in touch with the club to see if I could help with the recruitment, soon followed by a message from CEO then radio silence - that was over a month ago. Hopefully they they have now found someone.
Can't see why the club don't put all vacancies on the official club site, LinkedIn, Twitter etc. to give people a fair crack and spread awareness. They either fail to promote them or just go through a third party. When people have a go for lack of staff numbers, I'd have thought promoting roles would be well-placed on the list.
Does Michael Standing also own a recruitment agency? Probably has to go through his

No-one wants to buy us then apparantly………
Sorry- but I cannot believe that some of those clubs taken over are a better prospect than us. Its time the trust step up the search and people go public
The only thing prolonging our misery are these incompetent clowns we have in charge
Think they are paying c.£15m for Tranny, who own Prenton Park which is in a better state than our place and not encumbered by a part community group ownership and a legal commitment to spend cash on it sharpish. Clubs are only worth what people will pay for them, lost track of how much Morfuni seems to think we are worth but assume it will include him getting back the chunk of money he has put into/loaned to the business which I suspect inflates our price to 'you must be fucking joking' territory that no one in right mind would pay.

Just had a thought - is Chris Kiely one of Power’s mates? Bring Kennedy in, take the piss and ruin the club all to spite Morfuni. It wouldn’t surprise me and surely there’s some explanation as to this utter disgrace of a manager

Was Kiely here before Clem took over? I'm pretty sure Hart was and I know Austin was.
Bunch of cunts the lot of them. Cancer.

"Swindon Town can absolutely be a sustainable, healthy, community-oriented football club and the people of Swindon deserve that. They have suffered enough."
We still are.
“If we do manage to complete the purchase of the club, members of the affiliated supporters’ groups will be appointed to the board. Fans will have access to financial and accounts information, and we’ll provide board meeting minutes too."

Response received from a mate who emailed the trust:
Thanks for your email. Exactly what do you, and others, expect the Trust to do? We do not have special powers to enable us to force the Owners to do anything and we are not in a position to "find buyers - we are not an Investment bank but a group of (experienced in business) volunteers (football fans) representing the members to the best of our ability. We could have coherent discussions with known interested parties, and have done so in past, when approached. There are none at present. In this latter context the stronger (membership) profile of the Trust the more likely we would be approached by any would be investor or buyer undertaking due diligence. In this way we might have influence.
It is critical in these tricky times that the fans stick together and not fragment - the Trust is the platform to achieve this.
We are not capable of, nor in a position to market the Club (that we don't own or control) for sale to would be buyers(who/where are they?).
Clearly footballing matters are at an all-time low and most fans want action to turn things around. This is the urgent need - we have even less of a role to play in footballing matters.
We are unaware of any interest from anybody currently to buy the Club (which runs at big loss funded by current owners and is under performing on the pitch). The Club's current dynamic, to would be buyers/investors, is not very attractive. Also, the current owner has a large debt (representing his investment into the Club) he would no doubt want to recover if he were to sell (he has said he isn't actively seeking sale). This makes a sale even more unlikely at present.
Also New owners do not necessarily bring certain better outcomes/nirvana either via Governance or Performance. Look at Carlisle , on face of it new progressive USA owners investing into Club but below us in the League!
The current performance malaise must sit more with the Footballing wide Management rather than Club Management, if as we believe the Footballing side has been better funded this season. The most urgent need is to turn around the footballing performances and solutions must be surely found with this current squad?

All perfectly reasonable I think. A bad situation but out of our hands from a getting rid of Morfuni and his mafia unfortunately

I’d wager Carlisle have a much brighter future than us right now regardless of league position. They’re inbetween 2 different styled managers and the current manager is trying to implement his style with a squad built to play nearly the opposite way. Their new owners have completed a fair bit more than us in their short reign to date.

In it's previous incarnation the Trust found Bill Power and then Andrew Fitton. They organised protests, carrying of a coffin, orange hats. The Trust can do something, but they're not. It's indicative of where we are as a club.

Yes, I’d expect experienced business men to try & seek out potential interested parties. I don’t expect them to click their fingers & find Richy McRichface over night but I’d certainly expect some feelers going out. They aren’t going to magically appear out of thin air.

I don't think the trust found power or fitton did they?
Bill Power was already involved before being ripped off of £1m. They got behind him after the boardroom split.
I can't remember how fitton & co arrived, just that they bid (then withdrew, then bought) the club after we went into admin and agreed a cva. Don't remember the trust finding them though.
