In an ideal world Fitton would buy out Clem full stop.

You know Fitton was never the one with the cash right?

Did you cave in and renew?
Renewed 1 out of my 3. The lads I go with all renewed after discussion. We go to every home game thus saves us money. Am I happy with the running of the club? No Is Clem selling us soon? No Will he in the future? Hope so. I thought a few weeks ago (strong rumour) that he was selling. Held off until it became known that he wasn’t.

If we are doing rumours, I did hear we approached Calderwood to be DoF but he turned us down.
Doesn't quite add up for me, as Russell seems to be rated by Clem.

I don't mind Russell. He seems to care and works hard , whether that is pitching in on the Junior Reds room or at the concerts.

He talks a good game. Totally cocked up recruitment last year but who knows what contestants he works under and what his remit was

This is the concern for most of us. Honest, open and transparant please.

Didn't renew in the end... that was a hard decision. Will still go to the odd game I think, ST was of more benefit to the club as I can't make any midweek games now.

Russell would be fine running the academy and development side of things but he’s clearly well out of his depth in the position he finds himself, nothing about him or his CV screams running the entire football operations of a league club. The comments from the likes of Austin about him are telling, the more experienced players who have seen what clubs should operate like don’t seem to think much of him. He seems like a standard example of the Peter Principle where he’s been promoted to a level he’s incompetent at. And that’s true for pretty much all the leadership at the club with Hall, Watts etc anre all clearly in positions above their level of competence.

https://www.swindontownfc.co.uk/news/2024/june/club-appoint-fan-engagement-officer-ahead-of-202425-seasonThe club's fan engagement officer announcement: it's the same person who was already supporter liason officer as well as her job in ticketing, and she'll continue to her job in ticketing. I'm sure she's a good person and works hard at both roles, but if this the "brave new dawn" of Clem and co. is giving someone already doing a job a new title then Christ...

Perhaps we could consider behind the scenes roles for some of the fringe first team players?
Ricky Aguiar, occasional central midfielder & match day announcer
Anton Dworzak, youth team success story & head of catering
Sonny Hart, defensive prodigy & match day guest
I suppose this is literally what we did with Lewis Ward, so I can't even take the piss successfully.
