I've said this before. I don't expect Clem to throw money he hasn't got into the a club that has been cut to the bone and still loses £1m a year.
Ignoring all the other reasons, we clearly need an owner andleadership that has deeper pockets and the ability take the club forward in terms of revenue. ---- On another note, I had to contact the club recently about a very sensitive matter. Can I just say what a credit people like Caroline Lane are.

Burton & Scunthorpe too.
Scunny being in the second tier is pretty wild to remember.
What’s even wilder to remember is that - the year they went up from L1 we also got relegated but actually beat them at their place with goals from Trevor Benjamin & Ricky Shakes (if my memory serves me correctly) 1 of only 2 games we won on the road I think.

Isn't that skin in a test tube at the moment being tested for cancer?

I see Clems ambition next season is to finish higher than this!
Just sums up this ownership. The fact we have spent the most seasons in the bottom division under them tells you all you need to know
Every season we don't finish top 3 in the 4th tier is a total disaster. Its incredible how much the goalposts have moved and how a portion of our fan base is happy to just accept the slop we're being served.

This was my worry a year or so ago, that we were gradually allowing ourselves to slip into acceptance. This season, once consigned to the record books and not something you can review in detail about where we started vs how we finished, is a disaster for our club. Seasons are 46 games long, hanging onto small chunks is OK so long as the club learns how to leverage them for future seasons as a whole, but the reality is that over 46 games we are 9 places below our target.

I hope not. The one thing our complicated "boardroom" may do is push some of them into wanting a way out. I doubt any of them signed up on the basis of a bumbling Div 4 team - even any side deals they have can't be making anywhere near what they were hoping for. I'd fully expect some internal pressure to occur for off ramps to be identified. That at least gives an opportunity to reset.

Take our new shareholders - did they really pump in seven figures without thinking they were getting that back quickly - either through promotion or the ground development financing helping them out? The deal behind that money and share transfer has never been made public (nor do I expect it to be), but it sure as hell wasn't just a case of chucking in over a million for 22% of a diminishing valued club.

I suspect the impending Botan Ameen transfer fee will pocket Adam Hart a tidy sum, on the basis he apparently arranged for him to come to the club. I suppose that is not unheard of. It's just a bit grubby when the sum goes to that type of character.

Ameen isnt the only one has responsible for either. Amazing how someone has as much sway as he does

Thats kind of how lower league operates though right? None of us want it to be a criminal like Hart but the success and failure of lower league clubs is often built on inidividuals and who they know and their connections. Just preferably not illegal connections.
