A reduced playing budget next season due to £200k worth of pitch costs also leads me to ask how this is being financed.
Funding will, I suspect, have literally nothing to do with day to day budgetary financing, it will be an entirely stand alone project. As for doing the bank, setting aside anything beyond what has previously been approved, and even possibly that, it has history and scope for being a complete an utter planning ball ache and for what means, its only ever going to be a basic stand with limited facilities as there just isn't the space there. Time to do that would be IMO when the DRS is done and thoughts are turning to what to do with the TE as its the stand to shunt the TE dwellers into when it needs to be dropped. Thankfully I don't have a dog in the fight, but FWIW I'm inclined to agree with the scheduling and also am surprisingly impressed with what they are suggesting with the DRS - money has been spent with proper architects and everything, but I would be flabbergasted if it ever happens unless there is a massive change in ownership, too many bridges have been burnt with a large proportion of the fan base for the present ownership to get the fan base back on board and it needs a clean slate for us to move forward. TBF in terms of details that piece says the square root of fuck all, apart from emphasising that 14 months on they still don't have a planning permission in place.

The DR plans alone do not give me enough sense of the business case going forward - what becomes of the Arkells facilities has to be interwoven into this development, otherwise we simply move revenue generation from one stand to another, at great cost. Then you ask, why? Who gains from that? That's too many open and big questions to have and I am not sure we get the answers.
Quite right. It may look look good, it may be good and actually increase revenue - don't forget that are looking to utilise this outside of match days* But if it saddles the club with debt or takes 20 years to pay back or get bodged/runs out of development cash what's the point. * A breakdown of the ROI assumptions will help. The club don't have to present such details, but then it's down to blind faith they know what they are doing. I'm not sure that'll wash.

The Trust say they haven't explained this. Clem should show proof of funds before the JV even entertain a vote. That is how this works, isn't it?

Wonder if there will a sudden influx of new Trust members to try and swing the vote. Would imagine if it is seen as a cash cow for a few individuals they’d happily spend a few grand to rig the vote with fake memberships. I hope the Trust has mechanisms in place to prevent this.

It is why the plans for the DR stand are not offensive to me - I simply have no faith that we have any idea how to operationally maximise the opportunity and worry about how it gets created in the first place. The experience I had in January on attending a rare game for me these days suggested a business that is far from trying to maximise revenue. It smacked of a business keeping the creditors at bay with everything trimmed to the bone.

This stinks doesnt it. Why would the club not inform the Trust of how it will be paid for? I mean, its not as if they hold an important 50% share is it?

It's a concern we recognise and question we will be asking of the club, along with a lot of others that can be seen here https://truststfc.com/2025/04/12/redevelopment-questions/

At the risk of biting on a whopper, what mechanisms would you expect and at what point would they trigger?

It was more of a flippant question but if you suddenly get a few Jane Austin’s and Sue Hall’s joining what would happen? With the backgrounds of some I wouldn’t put anything past them…

Looking at the design layout, the seats alongside the boxes will have a very restricted view. You won't be able to see past them.

I don't think that would be the case, I think they are supposed to be inset. A good question to ask though, whether any other existing seats would now be classified as obstructed view.
