To be clear, we don't know exactly what the restrictions are, but it's a safe guess to assume not signing players for cash when we owe the EFL 600k is one of them.

How is that going to affect clubs this window (I cannot imagine for one second we will be the only one), I suppose certain clubs will be able to repay from season ticket money (no hope for us) in the coming weeks/months, but others, including us, will have the square root of fuck all of income until the season starts meaning no players can be bought.

If nothing else its going to be a buyers market for sure.

On the LS podcast they were saying that because of the EFL loan of 600k we are due to pay back, it means that we can't sign any players on a fee. I assume that we are still able to sign out of contract players freely? (which we were most likely to do anyway) Are there any restrictions on us there at all?

Likely some sort of wage cap will be put in place - so the quality of those free transfers is likely to be at the bottom end one would assume

Yeah, all I can find is the same as you have (below). The bit about wages probably further limits who we sign on a free. Probably.

But its a bit moot given the finances are screwed anyway

In addition, a further £20m ‘Monitored Grant’ is to be provided with Clubs able to apply for it based on ‘need’, with a joint EFL and Premier League panel to determine Club eligibility.
Clubs subsequently in receipt of a ‘monitored grant’ will be subject to certain restrictions, in respect to transfer spend and player wages.

Ok, thanks for the clarification. A sensible assumption I would have thought.

The trust advised last night that it'll impact the amount of wages we can spend on players, management staff etc until the 600K is repaid.

It's depressing to see the players still under contract, I would only keep Payne and Brett, Brett, Brett, Brett Pitman, Brett Pitman out of  the nine.

Terms offered to Odimayo, Parsons and Twine - OK

Garrick and Tyler Smith are returning to their clubs, and others.

13 not retained, out of 13 I would keep Camp, Anthony Grant, and Palmer , personally.

Was always likely. Do we get any ££ from them at all?

Guess Scott Twine really wants to work with Luke Williams again.

It's quite amusing our fans trying to make out on twitter that he's not making a step up by moving to them.

Sadly I think Franchise is the perfect club for him. Gutted it's them but they seem to be moving in the right direction unfortunately and Williams seems to be a positive influence also.
