Watched the diplomat on Netflix by some of the team behind the west wing, was really enjoyable
Plus starting to plough through succession
Latest series of fauda is up to its usual high standard and with a cracking ending

Don't get the buzz with regard to Succession, midway through Season 2 and it's turning into a right slog.
Thoroughly dislikable characters all round, well other than the amusing relationship between the Nephew and Matthew McWhatshisname

Succession was good, if not predictable

Finished 'A Small Light' on Disney + last night, despite knowing what was going to happen it pretty much broke myself and the missus!
Was really good though!

Waded through Annika on BBC, not sure whether it was really good or really irritating, albeit the missus called the twist that emerges in the final scene of the last episode about 5 minutes into the first episode.

Just watched “painkiller” on Netflix. I would highly recommend. It is an interesting dramatisation of the opioid epidemic in America. I found it to be excellent. I have heard it is similar to “Dopesick” which is also meant to be very good.

Funnily enough we started to watch this last night also. (2/4 so far) I was curious about how people could become addicted to the painkiller tablets, but it became obvious why this was the case during the drama. I'm a big fan of these true story type dramatisations.

Dopesick was very good and the real life drama associated with that one is still ongoing - the Supreme Court having just stayed a settlement agreement that would have enabled the company to file for bankruptcy after the Sackler family withdrew Billions to personal accounts.
The drug industry over here is nuts - it's essentially as close to legalised drug pushing as you can get.

Is it true that Canada has banned the sale of any kind of ‘natural’ medicines and/or herbal stuff like you’d get in Holland Barrett etc.

Very much worth watching Painkiller if you liked dopesick as I think there is a lot of overlap and a portrayal of the Sacklers and Purdue pharma.

Season Two has been commissioned as well I believe. Know a fair few folk who worked on the first season. Tis decent
