Just watched the first episode of The Sinner.

Worth carrying on with?

Great show. First season is the best of the lot but all 3 are watchable.

Second season was brilliant. Third I couldn’t get into. Haven’t seen the first.

Pullman is fantastic

Recently started re-watching The Wire. Really trying not to be the annoying bloke who won't shut up about it.

It's a daily struggle.

Something else the people behind The Wire wrote called Generation Kill is also well worth a watch .. if you can find it.

Me neither, far too jumpy for that.

Ruddy Nora Last of Us is good.

I like it a lot, as most on here will know I enjoy a lot of post-apocalyptic based stuff but my main gripe is how fast and erratic the Clickers are...it's a bit unrealistic for me in that sense. And that this far into a P-A world - some 20yrs, the main survivors who venture out of the QZs still don't seem to have got to grips with the 'hosted' or 'turned', by now surely they would have adapted to life with them being more of an annoyance? I also am not sure why they haven't worn gas masks to prevent ingesting spores, they're just wandering around freely, no issue...

Forgetting that, I think the writing is pretty good and they have really allowed character development to shine. Episodes written more in an anthology style, so when we meet new characters, they get a good chunk of back story/air time so when an event happens we actually do care about them as much as Ellie and Joel. Although Ellie is a bit like Coral from TWD, in the fact she's always fucking off somewhere and getting in a pickle.

I hope they only do a max of three seasons, maybe S2 in two parts. Would be a nice nod back to the games as well. It's definitely one of the best adaptations from a game in a long time. The only real one that tells a similar, compelling story and went on the big screen was Silent Hill. They nailed Pyramid Head in that one and the whole eerie feel of it.

Anyway, enjoy TLoU  Smiley

Last of Us is on the list. Just finished Everyone Else Burns, pretty standard quirky CH4 comedy, and thus very enjoyable.

Just started watching Last of Us tonight, on episode 3 already. Knew nothing about the game.

Was a Playstation exclusive when it launched so many Xbox lot obviously missed out on a good gaming title. Although the first part is launching on PC in about a month, so that may eventually bring a unit to the Xbox X or something but they shouldn't hold their breath.

Interestingly (or not), the game became even more ''exclusive'' within Sony's own consoles...Part II was only playable on the PS4, which was a little odd as the PS5 launched in November 2020 but there was know version for that console. It took until around Sept 2022 for it to became playable on the PS5.

I feel that watching the show without having played the game will be a better experience as there are no expectations as to how the characters or story should go - a nice place to be in. FWIW, Ep3 imo was a beautiful story about finding love. There were so many great nuances and brilliantly played by ''grumpy'' Nick Offerman as Bill.
