I worry there won't be a second series of Alcatraz. I'm enjoying it, but it gives me the same feeling as the 4400/Flash Forward/Heroes. I hope I'm wrong.

I thought this too but it's getting better now, I almost gave up as it was a but samey, but more of the story is coming out now.

Don't get me wrong Chubbs, I really enjoy it and I'm only 4 episodes in. But ratings in US were down towards the end and they have a habit of being dipshits and cancelling things when that happens.

Mind you, the BBC are on the same path now. They just cancelled The Fades. Still at least with the money saved we can get a 235th series of Two Pints...hooray.

I finished watching Alcatraz the other day and enjoyed it on the whole. True, it got a bit repetitive with the whole prisoner turns up, starts killing people before eventually being caught/killed but the last few episodes really reveal a lot about the story and it finishes on a right royal cliffhanger. I honestly am intrigued to know the rest of the story, so hopefully they choose to renew it!

considering they spat the last 4 episodes of alcatraz in the states over the course of 9 days tells me they wont be making a 2nd season

I've heard that. Couldn't get into it on the box last night at all though. I'll try the book if its available on Kindle.

I just checked and Birdsong is available for £3.99 on the Kindle.

I will give it a go at that price, bargain

Started watching the ridiculous but oddly compelling Spartacus: Blood and Sand. Saddened to read the lead actor died of cancer in September with diagnosis to death in 18 months.

Im watching season 3: Vengeance. It's a great show

I watched the season finale of Six Feet Under last night, absolutely incredible. Definitely my second favourite TV series of all time and worth watching and persevering with if you've not seen it - the development of the characters, the dark humour and the way it deals with mortality is brilliant.

Watched the whole series last week, very good.  Season 2 is being made at the moment.

It was very good, especially the last couple of episodes.  Not sure where it can go for season 2, and part of me thinks they should leave it there, but looking forward to it all the same.

Halfway through Entourage at the moment.  Missed it first time around so am watching it from beginning to end.  Started slow but is growing on me big time now.  The characters are ace.
