If he joins Luton then that will be three attempts at League football for Constable and they have all resulted in his dropping back down to Non-League.
There's probably something in that.

Went back with improved apparantly and he is out of the team tomorow
Where are you getting your info from? If he's not in the team tomorrow I wouldn't be surprised. We play 3 up top and have Potter, Smalley, Pittman, and Guy on loan who could fit into that, along with Constable (also Craddock out for a month with a knee injury). Constable played 120 minutes against Cardiff on Wednesday and ran himself into the ground (hardly the performance of someone on their way out of the club, or unhappy as some people are mongering) so a rest would be wise. Also with regards to the transfer, I doubt he'd want to drop down to the Conference again. Nor do I see any reason why we would want to sell him, unless Wilder has someone better to take his place.

He'd have got a game last season, surely.
In fact, you'd have got a game for us last season.

Interesting. The lad runs through proverbial brick walls... even if he is one of that lot. Still would go for Clarke given the choice as he's more mobile. Wotty sounds intriguing too. Decisions, decisions...!

IF true I'm not sure he is the answer. But it would make the derby more interesting - assuming there isn't a "pussy clause" to prevent him playing in that one. He couldn't be signed in time to play anyway,.

I very much doubt he is answer too, but to parade him on the pitch Sunday would be quite frankly, superb!

I'd expect Oxford to mete out the same treatment we gave to Beauchamp when he returned to the County Ground. The longer the striker situation remains unresolved, the more inclined I am to believe that a bid for Constable may be in the pipeline. Still doubt this will happen at the moment though.

"So Brabin has said Luton are still in for Constable. Surprise surprise. Also expect Swindon to enter the bidding"
"What with constable living close to swindon and having a connection with the club from his younger days they remain a attractive club"
"Also having the captains armband at Oxford taken away still really gets to him. He's gone from the main man to one of the lads."
These are his tweets. So who is this guy. Claims to be an agent..interesting.

Meh, if anything was imminantly 'on' he'd have been on the bench, withdrawn. Wouldn't he?

Not really. We still played Austin when he wanted to go.
