No. I took your comment to be a questioning of his Swindon fandom but using exaggeration for effect. If I have misunderstood your point I can only offer my humble apologies.

I don't need your apologies my friend, just your respect.  Wink

Please can we not have another day of this?

I don't know...I can hear the gentle hiss of the deflation of Eric's ballon of pomposity.

I'm taking the bait.... but you're happy with Bodin (a youth team striker with zero goals), De Vita (in and out of the team at Scottish 2nd Division champions) and Kerrouche (United Arab Emirates 2nd division last year)?

I like all three mentioned but constable, a proven league 2 striker, would have a better chance of firing up to league 1. that's the most important thing!

Yes I am happy with those players. I am happy with everyone Di Canio has bought in or retained because they obviously have the right attitude and aren't scared of hard work.

Constable is proven at Oxford - no where else. Couldn't do the business for Shrewsbury and whilst in L1 failed with Walsall.

He's found his level - at level that should only be our level short term.

Ardiles i agree with you
However Eric seems a fairly intelligent person, maybe he should start his own thread rather than always following the crowd and jumping on the back of comments from others
we have to remember he is on this site for a reason

I'm on this site because it's a good read. I'm not sure if you're hinting I'm here to wind you all up? Surely "thisis" would be the place to go for cheap abuse, either way round?

I only reply to threads involving OUFC in some way. I start some of them, piggyback others. Isn't that how forums work?

Glad you have pointed this out one of debates that should be started away from this thread(in my view)
It was great to beat Crewe at the weekend but let's not get carried away
With Paolo as the manager everyone will want to beat us i think our next 4 games will giva a clear picture if we can go on a run
Cheltenham away
Shrewesbury away
the place were the Oxon cross home
Rotherham home
As for the place were the Oxon cross, how do you/us think they will do this season

If I'm honest, I expect you to get an auto-promotion spot. We didn't have a great first game, but several new signings are still to debut. I would expect an improvement on last season, so probably play-offs.

As far as STFC-OUFC games are concerned, I'm not even going to guess!

I think several of our rivals will do well this season, the Pox, the Jills, the Slave traders and Creepy Crawley will all be there or there about...with us hopefully there too.

I've never heard Bristol Rovers referred to as the Slave Traders before, only City.
