I don't see why we would even consider a 'not shit in League 2' player.

Going to be pretty fucking useless to us next season...

We'll worry about league 1 IF it happens. Got to get there first.

That said, never been that impressed with what I've seen of Constable. Which in truth is very little.

I hear there's a proven league 2 striker on loan at Wycombe.

If we get Benyon back as our target man, we're in trouble. Partly due to his broken hand, but mostly because he's got the aerial presence of Warwick Davis.

It was said with tongue firmly in cheek, you are of course right.

100% a swindon fan Eric. Not that it really matters,i always get the impression supporting clubs is different for players.

If he IS a Swindon fan, why didn't he wear his red and white scarf and talk about his love of STFC when he first joined Oxford? At that first press conference he was waving an OUFC scarf, and smiling. Are you suggesting he's a shallow liar too?

Constable is 110% a Swindon fan, a few years back he was handing out trophies at a 5-a-side when he was playing for Chippenham and they asked him if he was excited about the trial he had at Swindon the next week he replied 'yes, I've always been a Swindon fan so it would be a dream for me'

He's a red.

Don't be a dick. As DRS says, its a bit different for players. Jamie Carragher is well known for being an Everton fan, but has the professionalism not to mention it and hasn't stopped him playing for their biggest rivals.

As already mentioned, players dont look at club rivalry like fans do. It's their job and they get the best they can for themselves personally. For constable that was poxford

Did you seriously think I meant that? Did you really think I thought he might have worn a Swindon scarf to his Oxford press conference?

No. I took your comment to be a questioning of his Swindon fandom but using exaggeration for effect. If I have misunderstood your point I can only offer my humble apologies.

You won't have any trouble from me. We all know Constable's a Swindon fan and always has been. We also all know footballers follow the ££££ now and know no loyalty to their background. Bearing this in mind, my press conference comment was so obviously a "whoosh" that I'm surprised anybody fell for it!
