Fwiw the admin/mod editing profiles thing has been a thing forever (I did not choose shit bacon, or indeed any bacon at all) but people do seem to find it a bit less funny these days.

My screen name. The text under my screen name and the text under my profile picture - none of those are my choosing (well I guess 2/3s of my user name is)

You can change or delete the Joseph Mc bit. Profile > Forum Profile Information > Personal text

I’m sure everybody knows who you are referring to, and yeah, I think the consensus is he is genuinely a bit of a knob himself. When he changed my name to get his little kicks I just deleted my old account and adopted the moniker he’d given me. Go me.

No idea what's been going down as rarely come on any more (dunno if that's down to me or the forum changing but it just doesn't seem as much fun or funny as it was before, possibly I'm just a grumpy old twat now), but would echo that a forum without users is a bit pointless.

Exiled Knob quoted me directly in his last 30+ posts criticising me in every one, thats targetted attacks IMO.

I am considering my future currently and feel it may be best if I left TBH.

Looking through his posts, unless you or he have deleted some, I can see one reasonably mild disagreement about Will Wright's defensive performance as his only reply to you in his last thirty posts.

There are a couple more replies in the 30-100 range (I'm sad, but not sad enough to go further than that!) but none of them are personal attacks, a few disagreements/corrections on things but very mild by the standards of this forum.

Again, maybe there's stuff there that's been deleted and would change the picture, but I think if you're reading personal attacks into some of these replies then it doesn't seem like you're enjoying the forum very much. Perfectly possible to post without being modmin, maybe even more fun. It is a thankless task.
