There should always be a conscious effort to be adults and settle any differences. There are people here that I ruffle feathers of and they ruffle mine back - but not in the nice way, like how you might pet your doggo.
But we all share a common ground, despite our differences - in the first instance of STFC. That will never change, so we are a family in some respects and you we all know that you can't choose your family.
In the wider corners of football fandom and internet forums, it is but a very very small part of our lives {at least, I would hope so} and if this forum or similar is creeping into a larger percentage of life, then it might just be the moment or warning sign to log off, take a step back, go outside, have a brew, touch some grass {yes, your partner will count as well}, have a wank, go for a hike, reflect and look at what is already around in your life.
We aren't here for very long anyway, some of us even less so. Our external pressures can sometimes filter into our online demeanour, where we may even find a nugget of comfort in venting/raging/getting angry with largely a group of strangers. Some of us even get the {dis}pleasure of knowing/associating/meeting one another in person.
Anyroad, I've said it before, but if anyone is ever feeling like things are getting too much or struggling with things, feel free to drop me a message. I won't always be online but I'll always make an effort to reply at some point {sorry BO, I took about eighteen months to reply once, eek}.
Glad that EB{K} and JJ have slobbered over each other behind the bike sheds though. We need more love - not sure if we need a visual of that moment though

As Maya Angelou would say in Human Family:
'...we are more alike, my friends, than we are unalike.'
