I'm not completely convinced the Wilson appointment was that great a move.

Yeah whatever.

The way things are looking at the moment it might take 10 years to get out of League 2. That might convince you. I think Wilson might be remmembered for the season we beat Leeds 3 nil twice and punched well above our weight.

To be honest, I think our fans were crap in terms of backing Wilson. A lot of people turned on him and undermined him when it became clear we wouldnt make the play offs this season and history will show what a rediculously fickle decision that was. The players were looking to blame him as well. The scapegoats gone, were still here to pick up the mess.

Oh FFS! Why might it take 10 years to get out of League 2? Based on what exactly? And how is challenging for promotion in the 3rd tier "punching above our weight"? It's where we've been for the majority of the clubs history. It's pretty much our natural place in the football order.

AND HART HAS NOT MADE THINGS WORSE! He's picked as many points in the last 3 games as Wilson managed in his last 13. They're not much better, and not any better to watch from all accounts, but they are not worse.

Because we need an injection into the team to mount a challenge next season and all the signs are that we wont get it. Then who knows how long it will take?

As for our natural order, youve got to remmember what has happened to a lot of football clubs in the last 15 years. A lot of clubs in the Championship have doubled their crowds in that time. When we won division 2 in 1996 we had the highest attendances in the league with an average of around 10,000. Last season in the third tier our attendances were dwarfed by Leeds, Norwich, Southampton, Charlton, even Millwall and Huddersfields attendances were significantly bigger than ours. The third tier has become a bit of a crossroads, between those clubs who are capable of averaging 20,000 and who are capable of getting back into the top flight, and clubs who average less than 10,000, lower league clubs who will be lucky to get back into the Championship. There are very few clubs in between. If we were going to keep our natural football order, we would need to be averaging 14,000+ to keep up with increase from other teams. We couldnt even sell out the home end for the Charlton PO semi.

Hart's tactics are completely inept. Damage limitation. And for me yes, we have been worse under him.

Wilsons last 13 games, 6 points
Harts last 3 games, 3 points

Still, never mind the facts eh? In reality in that few games just quoting the number of points is not a revealing comparison as a flukey goal in one or two games can easily distort the picture. Its also arguable that the run of games Hart has had included a lot more games against sides at the bottom of the table.

You're entitled to your view if you think Hart hasnt made things worse. I cant believe anyone who saw that shambles on Saturday thinks that.

I do. Just hope they are not all either free transfers or 'ones for the future'. We need to spend money on players who will come in and play 50 games next season.

The total recruitment failure of our club in the transfer market over the last 12 months?

Only 1 player we paid money for has played regularly, Caddis. And verdicts on him are like marmite.

Thanks. Bearing Ritchie in mind, total failure is too strong.

But its been poor. The likes of Benyon, Flint, Misun and even Ferry will struggle to give us any value for money from here.

I think the transfers are done by commitee. and we need to put some trust in a manager and let him buy players he's going to play.

End of.
