We're all frustrated but the actions of some of our fans yesterday were absolutely diabolical.

Interesting article from a certain Mr Allen I just picked up off another forum:

http://ht.ly/4FQhw

The abuse must've been bad for Allen to say "if you’d have been stood near Paul Hart’s technical area yesterday to see the abuse that he took, and what we put ourselves through, you would be shocked."

I'm sure Martin Allen has never said boo to a Goose.

That said, some people crossed the line from what I've seen/heard yes. The general tone of the crowd has been fairly forgiving by the standards of the season up until yesterday though, it'd be fair to say it had been coming.

I agree with Hart that the fans personally abusing him were a disgrace. They are attention seekers. When do these fans really get behind the team? I dont see it. It doesnt help and it means fewer managers will want the job. I should think Hart has already decided to quit.

Having said that, our second half performance yesterday was completely inept. Notts County looked one of the worst sides weve had down here all season.

I dont really know where the club goes from here, the only real way to turn our club around is to reinvest and rebuild the team, but the board seem to be giving signs that this will not happen. I think fans underestimated how painful these last few games would be, but Im more worried about next season now, that this abysmal disaster will continue. The leadership at the top of the club seems completely lacking and to be frank, it was poor before Danny Wilson arrived as well.

Are you a connoisseur then?
I am indeed.

Allen can fuck off with Hart.

I would honestly like to see Hart gone. We're not staying up. The fans don't like him. It can never work.

However the problem hasn't been with Hart, he may be useless but go back to last July and January and there lies the problem this season.

I think that the stick that the management got yesterday was in part the frustration of the season boiling over for some.

But I also think it's a message to the board that Hart is NOT the man for the job.

I think that a majority probably don't blame him for us being relegated, but do for the totally negative bollocks he has presided over in the last couple of months.

I still don't understand why he decided to move four players into different position early in the second half. He suggested it was because they moved Burgess over to the right. But Caddis was already having to deal with him quite a bit in the first half, and from what I remember we did OK in the first half.

He then said that he didn't bring on Ferry, as he was going to replace someone else & not Ritchie.
But to be honest, if you were going to replace Ritchie with one of the players on the bench, then surely the most obvious candidates (based on where he was playing) were either Ferry or Benyon.

As soon as the sub was made I did comment to those around us that this was Dagenham all over again, the difference was it took less than a minute for them to score this time and we then managed to gift them another goal.

Maurice Malpas springs to mind - Another wonderful investment made by Fitton - Complete clearout needed from top to bottom, although lets be fair, is anyone in their right mind going to want to come to Swindon Huh?.

Im saying they need to get their next appointment right. Because at the moment theyve made 1 good appointment and 2 bad ones.

And they need to develop a more coherant transfer policy with whoever comes in. No more spending hundreds of thousands of pounds for players the manager doesnt want.

I'm not completely convinced the Wilson appointment was that great a move.

I've always been dubious about the whole 'director of football' role but I'd go as far as to say we need one more than we need a new manager, to keep Fitton and co's paws off the footballing side of things and provide that communication that's obviously not there.

I'd agree with this. In fact, he's done exactly what he was brought in to prevent - relegation to League 2. Ok, so it's 2 seasons later, but it's still happened. Unfortunately in history terms that will be remembered above last season.

Personally I think Wilson is as good a calibre manager as we can attract. Do you remember the list of people we were likely to appoint (Money aside). Wilson got it wrong this season, so I can't complain he got the sack. Its a real shame.

What worries me is that it appeared getting Wilson was a bit of luck in that he became available at the right time.

Spot on. Wilson has to take some of the blame for this season but he is a good manager as his record here and elsewhere proves.

He was undermined by seeing 20+ goal strikers sold in 3 out of the last 4 transfer windows, plus his captain and best defender being sold aswell. Worse still, in the cases of Greer and Austin the sales were made at the very end of the transfer window leaving very little time to sign replacements.

No matter how good a manager you are its very difficult to be successful under those circumstances.

Once Austin left this group of players was always likely to struggle (as many people predicted during January even before he was sold) Replacing Wilson was never likely to improve things and as Hart has proved it was perfectly possible to make things a good deal worse.
