Definitely the right decision made Paul, yesterday became the lowest of the low if that's possible. How did your son get on?
He and his team gave a good account of themselves in a tough group - they largely played sides from divisions above and battled hard and played some good stuff. Proud of them/him. And the A team (he's in the Bs) won the competition overall so he got to celebrate that with his mates. Only downside was we got back stupidly late and the bizarre localised downpour which was on a par with the monsoon we had at Brighton in the play-offs. And just like then, my shoes still aren't dry next morning!

the rot had well and truely set in.he went too late
Quite. We were fucked from the moment we picked up 1 point in 9 from that week where we played 3 teams around us. That was a crucial week and any new manager should have been brought in with at least a week to work with the side before that week if he was to make any difference, if only to be able to see for himself who the players are and work out what he thought his strongest side would be. Delayed and fudged decisions have cost us massively this season. None of that excuses the complete arse Hart has made of things, but as I've already said elsewhere the damage was done long before he arrived. I don't think any other manager would have kept us up either, but I think most of them would have made a better fist of at least going down with some fight and pride. Although having just typed that, that does assume that the players have either of those qualities and with a few honourable exceptions I don't think most of them do.

If we had brought the right person in I believe we could have stayed up.
Playing 4-5-1 at home against the likes of Walsall, Dag & Red, Notts County, Hartlepool etc etc was terrible, We should have been going for it but Hart is such a negative defensive manager and for me it's anyone but him next season.
He came across so badly in his interview yesterday, Not being able to explain things, Saying "I don't know" several times, Slagging off the fans, Getting funny with Vic Morgan it was just the worst interview I have ever heard from a Swindon manager.

Totally agree, I think Vic did well not to chin him!! I hope the board have been sent a tape of that interview - not only does he insult the BBC I believe he insulted the fans by saying it was them that had a real problem - not him!!! He also insults the fans intelligence by claiming that we are playing a 4-3-3 when we are playing a 4-5-1 with the 1 a striker who couldn't hit a bar door from five yards - unless it is at Griffin Park!! He came with a reputation of being a hard worker without an eye for goal and that is exactly what we have seen.

Just listened to the interview - there's parts of that, where he's just doing the one-word "Yeah" answers - which reminded me uncannily of this:

surely Hart cant stay on now in any way or form at this club, he has slagged off the fans and the bbc and should rightly be sacked.
managers get slack all the time but yeserday was a day when the manager actually deserved it. swapping sheehan and rose over then all the faffing about with the ferry sub looked as if it unsettled us, yes we was unlucky not to go 2-0 up, all im saying is that yesterday most of my anger was aimed towards the management not towards the players.
if the players/manager cant take stick when they deserve it then there in the wrong job.
hart should go for his comments after the match and his attitude in the interview. rose should also be fined or sacked for his comments on twitter, totally unprofessional.

Hart will go because he had a temporary contract to keep us up with a possible extention if he did so, with Wednesday away tomorrow he probably has 48 hours left of his contract.

Blimey i thought Danny sounded sucidal in his last couple of interviews but that sets a new benchmark. I dont think we have to worry about Hart for next season, sounds like he has no interest in staying.
