Being resigned to having to wait in all day for a delivery, which then comes early.

We have a Scottish guy in our office called Donald.
He cycled to work this morning and came into the building wearing shorts.

I had great pleasure in asking him where his troosers were.

That has to be a woman on the sun-lounger - no self respecting bloke would just carry on reading the paper with her walking past.

Sorting through a collapsed box of old programmes in the loft - Aug '68 v Reading, I note that the stiffs have beaten Poxford away 1-0, home 8-0, already.

Not such good news, in the included Football League Review magazine (it used to come free with the prog. in them days), is a full colour double page spread of the Pox and the Div 3 Trophy from the previous season. Complete with Atkinsons R and G.

Word has got out I'm looking to leave my job so I've been promised a 'serious' pay rise (backdated to July) and a 'significant' bonus and if I'm not happy with it it will be negotiable. Only snag is i will have to wait a couple of months until the official pay reviews. Could be bull but it's cheered me up a fair bit.
