This reminds me of university (not Cardiff), its was the agricultural society who acted and dressed like this back in my day! https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-67168572

First parliamentary debate anywhere in the world on Covid Excess Deaths in the Commons this afternoon.

Not surprisingly tucked out of the way on a Friday afternoon.

Why 'not surprisingly', the Covid Inquiry has been getting plenty of coverage especially in light of some of the horrific mismanagement that is coming out.

2 entirely different things. One is a public enquiry, the other a parliamentary debate - which being on a Friday afternoon means the chamber will be sparsely occupied.

It’s on at 2.30.

After over a year being diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes and taking the weekly jab I managed to squeeze into a pair of size 32 jeans. Bit tight, tbh, so 33 would be ideal. Better than the usual, historic 36!

No wonder the jab is now being prescribed solely for weight loss.

Just bought a new Mac and I've decided to start everything from a completely clean slate.

While setting up I accidentally bumped into an insane feature that I didn't know existed and I think is frankly fucking mental (hopefully I don't draw too much scorn from people who hate Apple, I just think anyone involved in computers/technology would find this quite cool).

So I've got my old Mac and new Mac on the desk, both turned on. My old one is connected to an external monitor and external keyboard and mouse. As I'm doing stuff, without even realising, it dawned on me I was navigating on the old Mac using the new Mac.

I then tried the same in reverse. It's like the 2 macs have become one and all the displays have become one desktop. No matter which computer I use I can seamlessly move between the displays/computers/files and also copy/paste.

That is cool. But I think that's how The Borg started. All will be assimilates, resistance is futile.

On a vaguely related note, I do like how Linux / gnome have multiple desktops. I missed it when forced onto windows in the last job

I’ve not used Linux (as a desktop) for a very long time. What do you end up using each desktop for? (I’m curious, as I always end up with everything everywhere all at once.

I think windows 11 now has multiple desktops, but never used them

I'm a software engineer, so on one I'll have code and compilation window, another the test harness, another I might have another code window for trying out odds and sods, etc
