Coming back to this forum after a long hiatus I just noticed the text under my avatar says ‘not 30 yet’. I am 32 now, but I remembered the reason I wrote it. A forum member (who doesn’t post anymore, or got banned, or is in prison, or got bummed by some bin men, I can’t remember) said this to me:

I can confirm I am not fat nor do I have any weird tattoos/piercings (good) and I don’t have any cats (which I am actually sad about.) I suppose I have 3 years to go, though.

If I hadn't questioned whether there were any females on here would you have touched base again or stayed in the background observing🤔

I haven’t been lurking, literally haven’t logged on for years. Probably wouldn’t have posted though no!

Ginger biscuits are the best dunking biscuits

Pro tip...  Ginger biscuits are best served dunked in whisky or a golden rum.  Take heed, a whole sleeve of biscuits can leave you worse for wear if you continue to refil your glass.

I totally stand by this, recognised cocktail flavours.  When I return home I always stock up on Ginger Nuts for this specific reason as they are not easy to come by where I am.

Haha, strange rehab where whisky and rum are easy to come by but biscuits aren't.   Pint

I'm genuinely serious about this, it first came to me when I had a handful of Ginger Nuts and a rum when watching TV, I loved it, I have to say I prefer whisky having experimented but that's my taste.  If you're used to drinking either neat I wholeheartedly recommend it otherwise it may be a little overpowering at first.

True enough - biscuits are EVERYWHERE in rehab. It’s a good sign someone’s detoxing if they’re craving sugar that much that they’re shovelling down the digestives.

Never understood the appeal of dunking, a soggy biscuit.. no thanks
(No innuendo intended.)

Room temperature drinks, especially coupled with a biscuit as structurally competent as a ginger nut, offer a much more sturdy snack, also if any crumbs settle at the bottom of a cuppa they're unwanted whereas they steep in the spirit somewhat so add to flavour of any leftover that needs to be finished.

I bow to your superior knowledge and experience!
(I mainly drink vimto and wine. This is all a bit fancy.)

Shame your Avitar wasn't a Robin kicking a bulls head😆

I’m not Bill Oddie mate. And that also sounds a bit terrifying.
