I wonder if Ally1971 from OTIB takes a sneaky look on here😁

As someone who lives in West Swindon, this result is great.

Regarding loans to Swindon, I wouldn't do it based on the experience that their fans will jump on any mistakes a City loanee makes, and I'm referencing both Kadji and Jonny Smith.

They have to hide their jealousy because we don't even acknowledge them as a rival but it soon comes to the fore on any little failing City show/have, which is probably not conjusive to a player in his first taste of pro-level football.
Love it 🤣.

There was one decent comment
Swindon obviously have no depth to their squad, but they played well in the first period and at times looked the better team, but that was their 4th pre-season game so they're a bit ahead of City in terms of match fitness.

Good competitive work out.

Don't acknowledge us as a rival but then posted that shite. What a tool. Their youths basically put on town shirts for that second half. Nothing to see here  Grin

Kadji was shite though.
We’d bring him on when we 1-0 up to lose games.

If he’d have been great - we’d have said so.

Smith wasn’t up to much either tbh…

It’s not the City connection as we all loved The Chief.

I can see why they don’t see us as rivals. I don’t really see them as rivals either tbh.
It was a kinda fake replacement rivalry in the 00s because both of our main rivals were playing in a division below (…and further)

Good players, fan’s favourite for sure. Although Peacock didn’t move directly along the M4.

Chief was another level for us but I always got the impression they thought he was a donkey.

TBF we’ve had a lot of loan players that have been shite and the fans have let them know, not just those from City.

Kadji was poor, ironically his best game was probably the one where he had to play as an emergency CB, and that was adequate.

Jonny Smith was an odd one, looked good in his first game and got progressively worse, (a bit like Aguiar) but has gone on to show that he’s not that bad. Maybe it was just poor coaching?
