Away from the retiring lark, one of my housemates at uni was in thrash metal bands, and very mucho to heavy rock. He's since found Job in the music industry workin in a recording studio, and recently worked on a track by a band called 5 seconds of summer. Who are a pop namd, and really shit. Mad reading his Facebook posts and his friends comments are incredibly. Funny

I realised I was getting old the other week when I walked past thousands of girls blocking the pavement in Manchester when I was rushing to the station obviosuly going to a concert and when out of interested I looked on line to see who was palying it was this lot..... and I had never heard of them!

Imagination. Well Leee John these days. Just seen him at Let's Rock Bristol, what an act.

Booked up again for Chilfest at Tring next month. And Toyah (she was fucking brilliant today). And Bad Manners. And Go West.

It's just an illusion...

Sunderland's statement on Jack Colback's move to Newcastle is wonderful...

I wish we were that brief when Mooney left.

Piling the pressure on Colback. The big meanies.

It's all very funny, especially as he's not all that.

FFS Sunderland.  Like you've never signed young players 'nurtured' elsewhere.  Cut the sob story.

Baker Street - Gerry Rafferty RIP

Possibly the best song of the 70's.

I think I have come to understand that all of the really good songs have a saxophone on them.

He's a Newcastle fan as well so bit of a no brainer wanting to play for the team you support.

Driving up the M5 on the way home from our holiday, come across a BMW middle lane hogging. I overtake her and then quickly pull into the inside lane, she takes offense and speeds past me. A mile or so further on and she gets stuck in some slower traffic (again in the middle lane), I'm less than a car length behind her in the outside lane and she just pulls out into my lane without indicating, her car starts to smoke heavily, she tries to move into the middle lane but there's a car there, smoke gets worse and worse until she pulls right across onto the hard shoulder. Big smiles from me :-D

Fatburys latest rant about Fabregas signing for Chelsea.

@fatbury: Absolute disgrace @Arsenal allowing Fabregas to go to Chelsea - unforgivable - the least needed is a club statement

@fatbury: as for Cesc himself - he joins the RVP club for me - hope he gets the hottest reception ever

@fatbury: If we don't sign some players of world class quality this summer then Wenger and the board should resign @Arsenal

@fatbury: Question of ambition @Arsenal allowing rivals to sign world class players whilst sitting on the pot of money

@fatbury: I am beyond fuming

@fatbury: Doesn't Arsene Wenger realise how this has made him look to the fans? Awful decision

@fatbury: The joke is you know @arsenal won't sign any of any ilk instead #Disgrace

I like the RVP comment, as far as i am aware fabregas didnt sign for chelsea from arsenal, and was actually offered to arsenal but they didnt want him
