Away from the retiring lark, one of my housemates at uni was in thrash metal bands, and very mucho to heavy rock. He's since found Job in the music industry workin in a recording studio, and recently worked on a track by a band called 5 seconds of summer. Who are a pop namd, and really shit. Mad reading his Facebook posts and his friends comments are incredibly. Funny

I realise I've told that with the comic charisma of a German, but it is funny. Trust

on that note: My mate is into his metal. He knew a member of a defunct minor UK band Dearly Beheaded http://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Dearly_Beheaded/3414 who really really wanted a tattoo but didn't get one because he was scared his mum would tell him off.

Back to retirement, as I'm from Generation Y, I expect to be working until I die on the job at about 97 and they drag my corpse away to be replaced by a 16 year-old. Unless things somehow magically improve I don't see any other option.

Nah, you'll get sacked at 47 to be replaced by the 16-year old, then won't be able to get another job as you'll be considered "too old" and so will die in lonely poverty in your early 60s. Thus saving the state a fortune on paying your pension.

Dying on the job sounds a good way to go....I'd settle for that.

you will die on the job Reg it's predicted in the runes - some groovy chick will be choking on your last vinegar stroke and then - lights out - live long, live strong, smoke a bong

To be fair 5sos are going to be massive. They have supported 1d on the last 2 yours and the kids love them. They came to a mayday parade show I did in london and I was told to be extremely nice to them and had to sneak them in as they would be mobbed. They may be shit but they will be big. What studio is it? I think they may have recorded with a friend of mine.

Fuck knows. He worked on Sam Smiths album too, but I don't know if it was at the same studio (I assume it was).

It's quite a change of scene for a guy who was in a band called 'Aortic Regurgitation' at uni.
