Miserable debut for Devera, he has been slated by their fans, sounds like one of his early performances for us which were pretty awful and he was at fault for one of the goals. They were impressed by Ferry though.

Oxford had hell of a following there,Pansy Potter on the wing looks a good player.

That was good.  Their 'Super Support Saturday' efforts (or whatever they were called) fell flat last season, with just 600 odd turning up at Southend.  Just goes to show you can't manufacture enthusiasm.  Probably first time in a while they had faced Portsmouth - a team they used to face quite often - but 2,500 impressive nevertheless.
