I'm sorry, but how is informing illegal immigrants that they face arrest if caught racist? Either people are getting very sensitive, or I'm missing something, but telling people that have no right to be here they should piss off or face prison doesn't come over as offensive to me.
Doing so in a sensible manner wouldn't be, but the "Go Home" tagline is uncomfortably reminiscent of National Front slogans and the like. Like I said, I'd only consider it mildly racist, probably unintentionally. My main objection is that it's just plain stupid- I really can't see how anyone who actually is an illegal immigrant is going to look at a poster and decide to go home. It's just advertising for the Conservative party paid for with public funds because the Mail and their like will love it. |
