Why do people rattle the 'hang up' switch when they get disconnected?

If you weren't disconnected before, you sure as fuck are now!

To turn this thread back to where it should be - in a moment my wife and I will go to bed.  Our older child is asleep in his room.  Our baby is currently asleep in his cot in our room.  If we get four hours sleep tonight we will be lucky - baby isn't exactly what you would call a sleeper.  Right now - it will seem trivial to most, but I feel like the luckiest man in the world.

Night all.

With a 14 week old baby at home at the moment I totally agree with you.

And I never understood or believed it either until the missus was mad enough to have a kid with me, its a complete life changer!

My summer holiday is fast approaching:

Glastonbury for 6 days, back home for a few hours then flying to Cancun. Stopping off in New York for a few days on the way back.

Fingers crossed that I bag the big contract that's on offer in Cologne for when I return. That will be the icing on the cake
Holiday starts NOW. 5 weeks of partying and travelling.

Got the contract in Cologne also. 6 months of Kölsch and bratwurst. Happy days

Finishing a contract is a great feeling when you know the next one is in place. In my game the summer months are usually very slow. I've been very lucky so far this year. There are lads I know of that have been struggling these past few months.

With F1 cars changing completely for next season there will be plenty of work for everyone soon and rates should be pretty good for contractors.

Cologne is a great city, I've worked there before.

I'm a carbon fibre laminator. Make body work, chassis, and structural parts for F1, Le Man and other Motorsport teams. It's a great job when there is work but can also go very quiet. I get to travel about from job to job (not with teams to the track) and see some cool places.  The downside is that I don't have a settled life and only get to see the wife a few times a month. Hang on, is that a downside?  Wink

Sounds good! Which teams have you done work for? (Not just F1, I presume? )
